Rei Shingetsu is a character appearing in the Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL anime. He is an exchange student to Heartland Middle School, and like Yuma Tsukumo, Rei has his own catchphrase, which is "think positive". He becomes Yuma's new friend.

Anime
After the Duel between Yuma and Fuma, Rei observes everyone celebrating from an upper window, and then smiles.[1]
He officially meets Yuma when he accidentally ran him over in an effort to get to school. Rei then searches for Katagiri hoping to have a duel with him. He promptly loses to him and warns Yuma that he's quite dangerous.
Etymology
Rei's first name means "zero", which can be related to the "Numbers". His last name's literal meaning is "true moon".

It is unknown what kind of Deck Rei uses.
