* When a Rare Hunter looks at each duelist's rarest card, this card is registered as the rarest one in Espa Roba's Deck.

* When Rex Raptor Duels Espa Roba, this card makes its first appearance. Espa used "Mesmeric Control" to stop Rex's "Serpent Night Dragon" from attacking this card and reduce its ATK by 800. This card then destroys Rex's "Serpent Night Dragon", winning Roba the duel.

* When Joey Wheeler Duels Espa Roba, Espa summons this monster by tributing Joey's "Swordsman of Landstar" (which Espa controlled thanks to "Mind Control"). This monster then destroys Joey's "Chasm of Spikes" with its own effect. Espa then equips this monster with "Amplifier", increasing its ATK by 500. This monster then destroys Joey's "Alligator's Sword". Joey then attempts to use his "Baby Dragon" and "Time Wizard" combo to weaken this monster, but it was unaffected by the effect of "Time Wizard" much to Joey's surprise. Espa then explains that the reason why it didn't work is because this card's armor is made of a special alloy that is guaranteed not to age or corrode for 10,000 years. Joey's "Thousand Dragon" attacks this card, but the attack then backfires since this monster was stronger at the timing, destroying Joey's "Thousand Dragon" instead. After Joey plays "Scapegoat" to create four Sheep Tokens, this card gains 300 ATK via "Amplifier". This monster then destroys one Sheep Token while Espa's "Reflect Bounder" destroys another Sheep Token. Joey then targets this monster with "Roulette Spider" to spin it around like a roulette until Espa orders it to stop. When it stops, it points at his "Reflect Bounder". This monster is then forced to attack "Reflect Bounder" as per the second effect of "Roulette Spider". "Reflect Bounder" is then destroyed by the attack and this in turn activates its effect which destroys this monster too. Because of the Battle Damage difference between Espa's monsters, Joey won the duel. Joey then won this card from Roba as per the Battle City Rules.

* In episode 59, this card appeared on the screen of the laptop Tristan was using when he was trying to let Serenity Wheeler know how the Duel between Joey and Espa was going.

* When Joey Wheeler Duels Weevil Underwood, Joey first summons this card by sacrificing his "Swordsman of Landstar". He then uses this card to destroy Weevil's "Flying Kamakiri #2". On the next turn, this card attacks Weevil's set "Kiseitai", but this activates the effect of "Kiseitai", equipping itself to this card. On Joey's next turn, the second effect of "Kiseitai" increases Weevil's Life Points equal to half of this card's ATK. Joey then uses this card to destroy Weevil's "Skull-Mark Ladybug" which activates its effect, increasing Weevil's Life Points by 500. On Joey's next turn, Weevil's Life Points increase again by half of this card's ATK thanks to the effect of "Kiseitai". Joey then sacrifices this card (with "Kiseitai" still attached to it) so that his "Panther Warrior" can attack.

* When Joey Wheeler Duels Mako Tsunami, Joey antes this card and "Insect Queen" while Mako antes "The Legendary Fisherman" and "Fortress Whale".

* In episode 58, Espa Roba uses this card during his Duel against Rex Raptor. When "Serpent Night Dragon" attacks this card, Espa activates "Mesmeric Control" to negate the attack and reduce the ATK of "Serpent Night Dragon" by 800. This card then attacks and destroys Rex's "Serpent Night Dragon", winning Espa the duel. Later Espa uses this card during his Duel against Joey Wheeler. He Tribute Summons this by Tributing Joey's "Swordsman of Landstar" (which Espa took control of via "Mind Control"). This card's effect then destroys "Chasm of Spikes". In the next episode, Espa equips this monster with "Amplifier", increasing its ATK by 500. This monster then attacks and destroys Joey's "Alligator's Sword". Later Joey activates the effect of "Time Wizard" and succeeds in its effect, allowing Joey to transform "Baby Dragon" into "Thousand Dragon". After Joey attacks this card with "Thousand Dragon", Joey was shocked that this card is unaffected by the effect of "Time Wizard". Espa then explains that this card's armor is made of a special alloy that is guaranteed not to age or corrode for ten-thousand years. This card then destroys "Thousand Dragon". On Espa's Standby Phase, "Amplifier" increases this card's ATK by 300. This card and "Reflect Bounder" then attack and destroy two "Sheep Tokens". Joey then activates "Roulette Spider" to target this card and spin it around like a roulette until Espa orders it to stop. When Espa yells at this card to stop, it points at his "Reflect Bounder". Due to the second effect of "Roulette Spider", this card attacks and destroys "Reflect Bounder". The effect of "Reflect Bounder" then activates, which destroys this card and inflicts the Battle Damage from the battle to Espa, thus winning Joey the Duel. Joey then won this card from Roba as per the Battle City Rules.

On Joey's next Standby Phase, the second effect of "Kiseitai" activates, increasing Weevil's Life Points by half of this card's ATK. Joey then uses this card to attack and destroy Weevil's set "Skull-Mark Ladybug", but this activates the latter's effect, increasing Weevil's Life Points by 500. On Joey's next Standby Phase, the second effect of "Kiseitai" increases Weevil's Life Points by half of this card's ATK. Jinzo then activates "Call of the Haunted" and targets this card, but Jaden activates "Solemn Judgment" to negate the activation of "Call of the Haunted" and destroy it.
* The KC DuelTek 760 used this card when Yugi dueled against it. This card was summoned by tributing "Berserk Gorilla". The DuelTek's "Robbin' Goblin" was then destroyed because of this card's effect. This card then destroyed "The Dragon Dwelling in the Cave". Next turn this card destroyed "Baby Dragon", allowing the DuelTek's "Sinister Serpent" to attack Yugi directly. Yugi then used "Heart of the Underdog" to draw out seven Dragons, one of which was "Spirit Ryu". Yugi then summoned "Spirit Ryu" and then used it to attack this card. Yugi then activated the effect of "Spirit Ryu" during the Damage Step, discarding the six Dragon-type Normal Monsters he has in his hand to have "Spirit Ryu" gain 1000 ATK for each Dragon discarded. This makes the ATK of "Spirit Ryu" 7000. This card was then destroyed by "Spirit Ryu", winning Yugi the duel.

Yu-Gi-Oh![edit]

  • This card is a Level 7 monster in the manga while it is a Level 6 monster in the anime, following the TCG/OCG.
  • This card's attack name in the original Japanese is Cyber Energy Shock; Psychic Wave while its effect is known as Trap Search and Trap Crush. Its effect not only negated, but destroyed face-up and face-down Trap Cards on the field.

Battle City[edit]

  • In episode 58, Espa Roba uses this card during his Duel against Rex Raptor.
    • In the second above-mentioned episode, this card appeared on the screen of the laptop Tristan was using when he was trying to let Serenity Wheeler know how the Duel between Joey and Espa was going.
  • In episode 63, Joey uses this card during his Duel against Weevil Underwood. He Tribute Summons this card by Tributing "Swordsman of Landstar". This card then attacks and destroys Weevil's "Flying Kamakiri #2". On Joey's next turn, this card attacks and destroys Weevil's set "Kiseitai", but this activates the effect of "Kiseitai", equipping itself to this card. After Joey Normal Summons "Panther Warrior", he Tributes this card in order to allow "Panther Warrior" to attack Weevil's set "Pinch Hopper".
  • In episode 74, this card appears within a series of flashbacks that show all of Joey's Duels in Battle City.
  • In episode 87, Joey uses this card during his Duel against Odion. When Odion's "Embodiment of Apophis" attacks Joey's "Swordsman of Landstar", Joey activates "Foolish Burial" to send this card to Odion's Graveyard. Joey then activates "Graverobber" to Special Summon this card to his side of the field. Joey then uses this card's effect to destroy Odion's "Embodiments of Apophis". This card, "Battle Warrior" and "Swordsman of Landstar" then attack directly. After Odion activates "Swords of Revealing Light" Joey switches this card to Defense Position. In the next episode, Odion's "Mystical Beast Serket" attacks and destroys this card. "Mystical Beast of Serket" then gains ATK equal to the half of this card's ATK.
    • In the first above-mentioned episode, this card appears in a series of flashbacks that Joey has when he notes to Odion that he has met many people on his way to the Battle City Finals and he kept fighting all the way no matter how grim the situation was.
  • In episode 89, this card appears in a series of flashbacks Odion has when he explains that "Mystical Beast Serket" counts as three Tributes due to it absorbing three of Joey's monsters which was why he could Tribute it for the Tribute Summon of "The Winged Dragon of Ra".

Virtual World[edit]

  • In episode 99, this card appears when Yami Yugi was building his Virtual World Deck for his Duel against Gansley.
  • In episode 106, this card can be seen when Duke Devlin, Tristan Taylor, and Serenity Wheeler were building their Virtual World Decks for their Duel against Nezbitt.
  • In episode 108, Leichter uses this card as his Deck Master during his Duel against Seto Kaiba. When Kaiba activates "Crush Card Virus" in response to "Spear Dragon" destroying "Giant Germ", Leichter activates this card's Deck Master ability to negate "Crush Card Virus's" effect and destroy it. In the next episode, this card remained on the sidelines until the Duel was over.
    • In episode 108, this card can be seen when Kaiba was building his Virtual World Deck for his Duel against Leichter.
    • In episodes 108 and 109, this card appears in Leichter's flashbacks to Kaiba's childhood.
  • In episode 110, the four remaining the Big Five members later tried to take the bodies of Yugi's friends by force as defeating them in Duels proved to be useless. Joey quickly summoned five monsters to stall for time while he and his friends tried to get away on the truck. Leichter, as this monster, destroys "Battle Warrior" and "Baby Dragon". After defeating the monsters, the Big Five went after the truck, but the gang are able to get the truck started and escape. Eventually the gang ends up in a desert and later crash. Before the Big Five can take the bodies of Yugi's friends, Noah captures them for questioning on their actions.
  • In episode 111, Leichter uses this card as his Deck Master during the Big Five's Duel against Yami Yugi and Joey. In the next episode, Leichter takes over for Nezbitt. When Joey activates "Drop Off" to make Leichter discard the card he drew, Leichter uses this card's Deck Master ability to negate "Drop Off" and destroy it. Later Joey Tribute Summons his own copy by Tributing "Panther Warrior". Due to the effect of Joey's copy, Leichter's "Gravity Bind" is destroyed. After Joey activates "Block Attack" to switch Leichter's "Injection Fairy Lily" to Defense Position, this card attacks and destroys Leichter's "Injection Fairy Lily". In the following episode, Leichter activates "Dragon Revival Ritual" to Tribute this card, "Deepsea Warrior", "Nightmare Penguin", "Judge Man", and "Robotic Knight" in order to Ritual Summon "Five-Headed Dragon". The effect of "Five-Headed Dragon" then activates, destroying Yugi's "Dark Magician Girl" and Joey's copy of this card.
    • In the first above-mentioned episode, this card can be seen when Yami Yugi and Joey were building their Virtual World Decks for their Duel against the Big Five.

Battle City Finals[edit]

  • In episode 122, this card is shown in Joey's hand during the Battle Royale between himself, Yami Yugi, Seto Kaiba, and Yami Marik.
  • In episode 124, this card is shown in a flashback that Joey has when he remembers all the Duelists he faced on his way to the Battle City Finals.
  • In episode 125, this card is shown in Joey's hand during his Duel against Yami Marik, He was forced to discard this card due to the effect of "Helpoemer". In the next episode, Joey activates "Question" to make Marik guess what the first monster that was sent to his Graveyard was. As Yami Marik could not guess what card Joey sent to the Graveyard via the effect of "Helpoemer", Joey Special Summons this card from the Graveyard. Joey then uses this card's effect to destroy Marik's "Coffin Seller", "Nightmare Wheel" (which frees Joey's "Rocket Warrior" from the effect of "Nightmare Wheel") and set "Malevolent Catastrophe". This card then attacks and destroys Marik's "Legendary Fiend" (which had 2200 ATK via its own effect). Later Marik Tributes this card and Joey's "Baby Dragon" in order to Special Summon "Lava Golem" to Joey's side of the Field.

The former-mentioned kid Tribute Summons this card by Tributing "Rocket Warrior". After this card was summoned, its effect activates, destroying the latter-mentioned kid's "Solemn Wishes". What happened next is unknown as the scene goes back to Téa and Serenity.

Waking the Dragons[edit]

  • In episode 159, this card is shown when Weevil Underwood and Rex Raptor are taken to a vault within Paradius's headquarters that contains copies of every mass-produced card.
  • In episode 170, Joey uses this card during his Duel against Valon. He Tribute Summons this card by Tributing "Battle Warrior". This card then attacks Valon's "Psychic Armor Head", but Valon uses the effect of his Armor monsters to redirect the attack to his "Buster Knuckle" (which had 1900 ATK via its own effect and "The Seal of Orichalcos"), destroying it instead. Valon's "Burning Knuckle" (which had 1700 ATK via its own effect and "The Seal of Orichalcos") then attacks this card. This card then destroys "Burning Knuckle", but this activates the effect of "Burning Knuckle", decreasing this card's ATK by the ATK of "Burning Knuckle". On Joey's next turn, Joey uses this card to attack Valon's "Jet Gauntlet", but this activates the effect of "Jet Gauntlet", destroying both battling monsters at the start of the Damage Step without applying damage calculation.
  • In episode 182, Joey Summons this card to aide in the battle against The Great Leviathan. Yami Yugi, Joey, and Kaiba, after bringing out three monsters each, then summon their Legendary Dragons. Yami Yugi then used "Legend of Heart" to transform the Dragons into the three Legendary Knights. All the monsters summoned by Yami Yugi, Joey, and Kaiba then attack The Great Leviathan. When the Great Leviathan counterattacks, Yami Yugi quickly has Timaeus absorb the power of "Big Shield Gardna" to protect everyone from the attack. While this saves the chosen Duelists and the Legendary Knights, it doesn't save the other monsters summoned by the Chosen Duelists.

Grand Championship[edit]

  • In episode 186, the KC DuelTek 760 uses this card during its Duel against Yami Yugi while the latter was using Rick's Deck. The computer Tribute Summons this card by Tributing "Berserk Gorilla". On the computer's next turn, this card attacks and destroys "Baby Dragon". On the last turn of the Duel, Yugi summons "Spirit Ryu" and uses it to attack this card. Yugi then activates the effect of "Spirit Ryu" during the Damage Step, discarding the six Dragon-type Normal Monsters in his hand to increase the ATK of "Spirit Ryu" by 1000 for each Dragon discarded. This makes the ATK of "Spirit Ryu" 7000. "Spirit Ryu" then destroys this card, winning Yami Yugi the duel.
  • In episode 187, this card can be seen in Joey's hand during his Duel against Solomon Muto while the latter was disguised as Apdnarg Otum. In the next episode, this card is still shown to be in Joey's hand.

On Jinzo's next turn, this card attacks and destroys Jaden's "Wroughtweiler". Jaden then activates "Wroughtweiler's" effect to add "Elemental Hero Clayman" and "Polymerization" from his Graveyard to his hand. Jinzo then equips this card with "Amplifier", allowing him to use Trap Cards while this card was on the field. On Jinzo's next turn, he uses this card to attack "Elemental Hero Bubbleman", but Jaden destroys "Bubble Blaster" to prevent "Bubbleman" from being destroyed and reduce the Battle Damage he would take from the attack to 0. After Jaden activates "Polymerization" to fuse "Bubbleman" with "Clayman" and Fusion Summon "Elemental Hero Mudballman", the effect of "Clay Wrap" activates, allowing Jaden to destroy "Amplifier".
