Yukio, The☆Yeti

The☆Yeti Yukio (ザ☆イエティ 雪（ゆき）男（お） Za☆Ieti Yukio) is a character in the Yu-Gi-Oh! GO RUSH!! anime. He is one of the servants of The☆Lugh, participating in the Friendship Rush Duel Tournament.

Yukio is a Yeti Man alien. He is covered in white fur, except for his hands and face, which are light red, and his hair, which is grey with red outlines. He wears pants and a coat, and has a visor on his eyes with earmuffs on each side.

Personality

Yukio is proud of his role in the Space Troupe, and isn't shy to brag about it. However, it's shown during his Rush Duel with Yuamu Ohdo that his acting is actually terrible. He also is annoyed whenever people refer to him as "Yeti Man" instead of "Yukio", and is quick to correct them.

Voice/Mannerisms

Yukio usually ends his sentences with "yei", which is how the "Yeti" in his name is pronounced.

Etymology

His name, "The☆Yeti Yukio", comes from the Yeti, an ape-like creature purported to inhabit the Himalayan mountain range in Asia. Yukio's name is also mistaken by the characters for Yukiotoko (雪（ゆき）男（おとこ） Yukiotoko), the Japanese word for "abominable snowman", which is how popular western culture mostly refers to the Yeti.

Deck

Yukio uses a Dark Tail Deck, consisting of WATER Attribute Beast Type monsters with white fur and black tails. The Japanese word for "Dark Tail" (尾（お）も白（しろ）くない O mo Shirokunai) is a pun on the Japanese word for "Uninteresting" (面（おも）白（しろ）くない Omoshirokunai), which is how Yukio intends to indirectly tell The☆Lugh his manga is uninteresting without upsetting him, although he too plays cards not as subtle like "Uninteresting Manga".
