When she started wearing her box, her hair was a darker color and with black tips poking out of the bottom of the box. Initially, Epoch conceals herself in a large cardboard box originally holding fragile items, given the Fragile Objects sticker on the back. The box has a T-shaped slit for her to see out of, four holes taped closed for her arms to poke through (two on the front and one on each side) and a red sticker with a white directional arrow on the "forehead" of the box. She attaches a yellow megaphone below the eyeslit as a "mouth", also allowing her to speak without using her [[Noblesse]] abilities. She wears a pink dress and spring green wellington boots under her box; while under the effects of [[Kuaidul Velgear]]'s Space-Time, she also wears a cardboard dress until she realizes she is in a false space.

Ehoko Kamijo (かみじょう Kamijō Ehoko), nicknamed Epoch (エポック Epokku), is a character in the Yu-Gi-Oh! GO RUSH!! anime. An incredibly shy and sheltered girl, Epoch is the fifth heir of Kallister Gears. Yudias Velgear becomes her Rush Duel tutor after delivering The☆Lugh to her mansion.

Epoch is a young girl who resembles Tiadosia Kallister. She has blue eyes and has teal hair with lilac tips tied into a ponytail. She attaches a yellow megaphone below the eyeslit as a "mouth", also allowing her to speak without using her Noblesse abilities. She wears a pink dress and spring green wellington boots under her box; while under the effects of Kuaidul Velgear's Space-Time, she also wears a cardboard dress until she realizes she is in a false space.

When Epoch regains the courage to come out of her box, her hair spontaneously lightens and styles into her ponytail, and her outfit changes. Immediately after emerging from the box, Epoch now wears a cream shirt with short puffy sleeves, a black top over it that ties at the neck, a pink frilled miniskirt, purple and pink horizontally-striped stockings, and brown boots, in addition to bandages wrapped around her forearms. She also carries a yellow Deck box on a red belt at her waist. Epoch later adds a maroon coat with a black lining and white trim and a maroon and white sailor's hat to her outfit, following her taking responsibility as captain of Valvelgear.

Full-body view of Epoch as a preschooler.

As a preschooler, Epoch's hair was shorter and she wore a sailor school uniform consisting of a lilac dress, a white blouse, a yellow bowtie, white knee-length socks, brown shoes, and a white beret with a black band and a yellow bow.

Personality[edit]

Epoch is incredibly shy, hiding herself in a box even when alone to avoid revealing herself to anyone else. She is extremely stubborn and quirky, often expressing herself loudly and defiantly when at home. According to Alfred, doing so is a way for her to express fondness and acceptance: Direct refusal of tea and cakes is immediately followed by her accepting them. Epoch slowly learns to be more open to interacting with others as Yudias teaches her how to Rush Duel. She also appears to have a deep fondness for Yudias, often enjoying their time together despite claiming otherwise. Though after seeing Yudias use "Darkness Dwarf" during his Rush Duel with Zaion, she temporarily became afraid of Yudias due to sensing something else in him. She later got over her fear and became determined to help Yudias after recalling how he saved her from Zaion.

Voice/Mannerisms[edit]

Epoch uses the Kansai "Oi" as first-person pronoun and "eho" as sentence-final particle. She also often shouts "pu-puku-pu" (an onomatopea for the sound of a trumpet) at the end of her sentences.

Abilities[edit]

Epoch possesses the Noblesse ability, which gives her voice incredibly forceful and compelling power. As a young girl, Epoch had difficulty controlling this ability and sealed it away by hiding in her box and speaking through a megaphone. This ability resembles Tiadosia Kallister's own incredible breathing abilities.

As a member of the Kallister family, she can use the Pauli effect, which can cause the technology to stop working just by touching it.

Biography[edit]

Fifth Arc[edit]

Yudias Velgear and Shewbahha visited the Kallister family mansion to deliver a package, and Epoch met them at the gate, but refused to accept the package or provide her signature. Yudias challenged Epoch to a Rush Duel to get her to accept, but Epoch stole his Deck and refused to Duel, criticizing him for thinking he could solve every problem with a Rush Duel. She instead challenged him to a Trumpet Duet for his Deck, a series of box-based challenges that Yudias had difficulty with. Eventually Yudias got to the final round, with Epoch challenging him to find his Deck in one of three boxes, though in reality she was concealing the Deck under her own box. Yudias instead claimed his Deck was in the box of the universe, much to Epoch's shock, and she dropped Yudias's Deck and agreed to return it, but still refused to sign for the package. Alfred then returned and signed for the package, Epoch eavesdropping on the proceedings as Alfred asked Yudias to teach her Rush Dueling in hope it would bring her out of her shell. Epoch barged in and vehemently refused, running to her room.[2]

That night, Epoch snuck out of her room for a cookie, believing she deserved it after the long day and dismissing the package Yudias and Shewbahha had left as worthless. To her shock, a voice claimed that was cold of her, and Epoch opened the box to find a chair with a head, screaming in shock.[2]

Ninth Arc[edit]

After Yuamu goes missing, Epoch joins Yudias and Yuhi along with Damamu in their journey to find her. The four of them go to space and lament over the lack of variety in their food. Manabu and Nyandestar eventually join them, but the rest of the crew lose their senses over having to eat curry bread for every meal. Both Epoch and Manabu resolve to become the captain and lead the crew, which leads to them dueling for the right of leadership. Although Manabu wins, he is impressed by Epoch finally leaving her box and using her power to command others so he allows her to take the position.

Deck[edit]

With Yudias's help, Epoch builds a Dice Deck, featuring monsters that support "Graceful Dice" and "Skull Dice". Due to her naive nature, Epoch is initially shown to cheat her dice rolls to ensure high rolls by slipping into a box and acting as a die herself. As Epoch finds the resolve to come out of her box, she starts using the Dice Key (ダイスキー Daisuki) line of monsters and foregoes cheating altogether.
