Stuck here just standing still and waiting,
I realized we're fighting 'cuz we can't understand each other.
Burning up, we kicked off running toward the shining star.
And don't say it won't matter if it's not there.
Still, when I try to pick it up,
it turns to mist again and again,
and I just strain my eyes even harder—
It's almost like a mirage—a mirage you could just reach out and grab.
Even after it fades to white, we won't ever forget it.
Even if the mirage flies off beyond this galaxy
at a nonstop speed and leaves our sight,
then we'll just walk after it even farther, that mirage.

Trivia
- The full song is about "Traveling in search of hope", and even if the future is blurry like a mirage, its message is keeping your chin up and remaining eager and curious and being willing to tackle anything that comes your way.
- This is the first Yu-Gi-Oh! debut opening to not appear in the first episode of its respective show.
- On top of this, the opening aired in Episode 2 was not the finished opening, reusing animation from both the trailer and the first episode.
