Not to be confused with "Playing Field".

A Duel Field is a special type of field exclusively used for the World Duel Carnival finals.

From left to right: the magma, space, jungle, and canyon fields.

There exists four of these fields which are magma, space, jungle, and canyon. These seem to exist somewhere inside the underground zone of the Duel Coaster.[1]

Relating to their names, each field occurs on a certain location such a volcano, a spacecraft, jungle and at a canyon. In each of these stages is where the eight WDC finalists will engage in one on one Duels in order to pass to the second final round of the Tournament.

In addition to this, each Duel Field is also it's own Field Spell; having an effect that will influence the duel. For example; The Jungle Field will inflict 1000 points of damage to a player who does not summon a Monster from their hand on their turn.

Finalists in each field
Jungle - Tron VS Droite
Space - Kite Tenjo VS V
Magma - Shark VS IV
Canyon - Gauche VS Yuma Tsukumo

Trivia

  • The Duel Fields can be compared to the "Speed World" from the 5D's series. Both are activated just before the Duel, and are treated as Field Spell Cards, but are not actually in any player's Deck. Unlike "Speed World", the Duel Fields can be displaced if the player activates a card effect, as Shark was able to do.
