"Counting Cards", known in Japan as "Rush Duel Seal" is the seventy-ninth episode of the Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS anime. It first aired in Japan on December 19, 2021. It will air in America on August 5, 2023.

Luke, Gavin, Romin, Roa, Nail, and Asana rushed to the rooftop of the Goha building in order to take down Yuga Goha. Luke faces off against Yuga in a Duel. However, the light radiating from Yuga's forbidden card engulfs him...

Summary

Gavin holds Yuga's unconscious body in his arms as Romin, Kaizo, Roa, Nail and Asana gather around him, Mimi Imimi, Yuro, Yujin, Yuka, Yuran and Mrs. Drone watching from behind the helipad door as Yuga Goha closes his mask and Luke glares at him. With "Predator Gunleon" standing behind him, Yuga Goha asks if Luke will really take over the Duel, and Luke confirms he will even if Swirls tells him to stop, stating so twice, though Yuga Goha doesn't seem to care. He glances at the data stick in Yuga's pocket and claims that he didn't come to destroy Yuga's Format Deletion Road, much to Luke's surprise, and Yuga Goha points out that even if Yuga Ohdo created a Road that could delete formats, he'd never execute it, a claim Luke agrees with, and Asana rises to her feet and angrily asks what Yuga Goha's goal is. Yuga Goha claims that his inner instincts have been screaming at him that Luke is the only one who's dangerous if he's left alone, Roa and Romin realizing that Yuga Goha wanted to get to Luke all along as Luke blanches in shock.

Vowing to carry on Yuga's heart, Luke declares his turn and draws five cards; "Enchanted Mirror", "Spell Shattering Spear", "Supreme Skystream Magnum Overlord [L]", "Supreme Skystream Magnum Overlord", and "Supreme Skystream Magnum Overlord [R]". He cheers at the sight of the Maximum Monsters and Romin sighs, commenting to Roa and Gavin that she knows what Luke's drawn and Gavin agreeing with her assessment as Asana and Nail keep an eye on Yuga, now resting in an impromptu hammock held by Kaizo. Luke paces the three "Magnum Overlord" cards down, chanting "A strong armor that never breaks! Achieving supersonic flight with gale-force winds! Carving everything open with maximum firepower! Full speed ahead! This is my... Maaaaximum Suuummoooon! Come on out, Supreme Skystream Magnum Overlord!" Yuga Goha chuckles as "Magnum Overlord" appears with 3500 MAXIMUM ATK and Luke tears up over Maximum Summoning for the first time, earning admonishment from Romin and Gavin over being happy in such a situation. Asana rises to her feet again and notes to Roa that "Predator Gunleon" only has 2500 ATK, while Swirls only has 100 LP, Roa realizing that the Duel will be over once "Magnum Overlord" activates its effect.

As if on cue, Yuga Goha activates a Trap Card, "Storming Wrath", causing a purple mist to wash across the field as he explains that it will prevent "Magnum Overlord" from activating its effects. Luke gasps "What?!" as "Magnum Overlord" crackles with purple lightning, and as Roa gasps, Asana is shocked that Yuga Goha sealed the effects of a Maximum, though Nail is dwelling on something else. Luke claims that the ATK of his Maximum is still enough to win the Duel and Sets two cards, then declares battle, ordering "Magnum Overlord" to attack "Predator Gunleon". As "Magnum Overlord" blasts blue energy beams at "Predator Gunleon", Yuga Goha activates another Trap by sending five cards from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard, "Circle of Wrath", negating Luke's attack. An energy shield erupts in front of "Predator Gunleon" and absorbs the blasts, and as Luke grits his teeth Yuga Goha adds that he also returns "Predator Gunleon" to the bottom of his Deck. "Predator Gunleon" vanishes and Luke ends his turn in frustration. But Nail tells him there's no need to despair, as Luke's victory is guaranteed now, much to Asana, Romin, Gavin, and Roa's shock. Luke asks what Nail means and Nail explains that he's watched the entire Duel, and to stop Yuga and Luke, Yuga Goha has sent a large number of cards to his Graveyard, and while Nail would say Yuga Goha fought well, he's gone a little overboard and sent thirty-eight cards to his Graveyard. Romin, Gavin and Roa gasp in shock as Nail notes that when Yuga Goha draws next turn, he won't have enough cards in his forty-card Deck to draw, and he'll lose the Duel. Mimi, Yuro, Yujin and Yuka gasp in shock and Yuran agrees that this will be a Deck out, Yuro noting they should have expected this from Nail. Yuka comments that her brother will be the one surrendering, though Luke seems skeptical, explaining so to Asana when she enquires.

Yuga Goha praises Nail's observations, but claims they weren't good enough, and he declares his turn and draws five cards. Nail quietly gasps "What?" and Yuro gasps that it can't be, Mimi asking how Yuga drew five cards. Nail realizes what Yuga has done and Yuga Goha confirms it - his Deck has sixty cards. Everyone can only gasp on shock, Luke and Yuro managing to repeat the Deck size, but Gavin is happy to explain, noting that a Deck usually contains forty cards, but the rules allow for more than this, for a maximum of up to sixty. Romin asks if it isn't better to have more cards and wonders why more people don't, and Gavin explains that having more cards reduces the chances of drawing the cards you want, executing such a strategy is very difficult. Mimi asks why Swirls is running a sixty-card Deck, Yuka noting that she doesn't believe it's just because he didn't want to run out of cards and Yuro agreeing that their brother has another lane objective in mind. Yuga Goha declares an end to his games and suggests they begin the ritual as he holds up "Monster Reborn", and Luke recognizes the card as Yuga activates it, causing green and purple energy to ripple from the hologram. Romin, Gavin, Roa, Asana and Nail look around in shock as Yuga Special Summons "Sevens Road Magician" from Luke's Graveyard. As "Sevens Road Magician" appears on Yuga Goha's field, Roa is shocked that Yuga revived that monster out of all of them and Luke throws a tantrum over Yuga Goha stealing "Sevens Road Magician" when he was looking so forward to using it himself. Yuga sends another "Predator Gunleon" from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard to activate the "Elemental Road" effect of "Sevens Road Magician", increasing its ATK by 1800, to 3900, since he has six different Attributes in his Graveyard, and then Summons another "Mechaleon", Tributing it and his face-down monster to Tribute Summon, chanting "Expose all the fester, decay and death! It will all become my food, my strength! Come out, Ecdysis Caesarleon!"

A massive conglomeration of lizards appears with 2000 ATK, and Yuga Goha explains its Continuous Effect; it gains 100 ATK for each card in his Graveyard and since he has forty-one it gains 4100 ATK, rising to 6100 ATK. Luke gasps the ATK value as Nail notes that this was Swirls' real goal, Asana adding that it gets stronger for every card in the Graveyard and Roa grimly noting this is why Yuga Goha runs a sixty-card Deck. Setting two cards, Yuga Goha declares battle, ordering "Sevens Road Magician" to attack "Magnum Overlord" and chanting "Let the living be sealed into light, let the dead rise from darkness!" Luke gasps as "Sevens Road Magician" blasts its fiery magic at "Magnum Overlord" and destroys it, reducing him to 1100 LP and Asana cries that's "Monster Reborn's" incantation, Romin yelping that this is bad and Gavin calling Luke's name in fear. Yuga Goha then orders "Ecdysis Caesarleon" to attack Luke directly, and as it blasts a surge of energy at Luke, Yuga retracts his mask and declares "Rush Duel Seal!" The attack hits with a massive explosion, blowing Romin, Gavin, Roa, Asana and Nail off their feet and buffeting Mimi and the other present Goha Six even behind the helipad door, Yuro gasping that this power is different from when Yuga Dueled Yuo. As Luke is blown off his feet, images of his Rush Duels and experiences of Yuga begin to flash before his eyes, and he muses that this is what it's like to lose his memories as light begins to engulf them, reflecting that the way his mind is going blank is kind of nice. Smoke billows from the Goha Enterprises Main Office helipad and clears to reveal Romin, Gavin, Roa, Asana and Nail crumpled on the ground, while Kaizo struggles to hold Yuga up. Mimi and the rest of the Goha Six gasp in shock and Yuga Goha claims that it's over, Yuka protesting that it can't be and Mimi fretting that Luke's memories have been sealed. Yuga claims that he's won.

But Luke comments that he wonders about that, and the smoke clears to reveal him standing tall. Mimi gasps his name happily and Yuga Goha cries "What?!" incredulously. Luke explains that he returned "Mirror Force" to his Deck to activate "Sacred Mirror" and negate the attack of "Ecdysis Caesarleon", leaving his 1100 LP untouched. Yuga Goha protests that Luke's memories of Rush Dueling should have vanished, and Luke claims that they did, but they also didn't, something Yuka and Yuran freely admit makes no sense whatsoever, though Yuro praises Luke. Yuga Goha closes his mask again, angrily ending his turn as Gavin begins to stir on the ground.

Luke declares his turn and draws five cards, "Cyc the Child of Wind", "Whispering Fairy", "Necromaid Nana", "Recovery Force", and "Sevens Road Enchanter", commenting that Yuga Goha's evil scheme has failed and telling him to be quiet and be defeated. Yuga Goha asks if Luke has forgotten about the Continuous Effect of "Ecdysis Caesarleon" (Luke had) and Mimi recalls that "Ecdysis Caesarleon" still has 6100 ATK due to its Continuous Effect; Yuga Goha grandly proclaiming that Luke will never defeat him no matter how hard he struggles. Luke grits hsi teeth, but then spots Kaizo struggling to hold Yuga up out of the corner of his eye, and he remembers Yuga telling him he wouldn't lose given Yuga Goha's goal, wondering what Yuga had realized and what he was after. He recalls that his Graveyard contains "Poet Fairy", "Sevens Road Witch", "Straynge Cat" and the three "Magnum Overlord" cards - and then he realizes what Yuga was onto, happily gasping that he sees it too, much to the surprise of Mimi and the rest of the Goha Six.

Chanting "The sixth sorcerer to inherit the name of Sevens Road!" Luke Summons "Sevens Road Enchanter" Yuro and Mimi gasp that it's the sixth "Sevens Road" monster and Luke sends the top card of his Deck to the Graveyard to activate the effect of "Sevens Road Enchanter", who extends its grab arm to capture "Sevens Road Magician" as Luke explains that he can return "Sevens Road Magician" to his hand, and Yuga Goha gasps "What?!" as Luke celebrates getting "Sevens Road Magician" back, then adds that he can also draw a card, "Hydro Magician". Then Luke returns three Spellcaster Type monsters ("Poet Fairy", "Sevens Road Witch" and "Straynge Cat") from his Graveyard to his Deck to activate the Spell Card "Recovery Force", drawing another card, the "Poet Fairy" he just returned. Mimi wonders to Yuka what Luke is trying to do as Luke Summons "Poet Fairy" and "Whispering Fairy", and he declares his preparations complete. He returns the three "Magnum Overlord" parts to his Deck to activate the "Poem Charge" effect of "Poet Fairy", explaining that it allows him to return three monsters from Yuga Goha's Graveyard to his Deck as "Poet Fairy" flits around Yuga Goha. Yuga Goha gasps as the "Predator Gunleon" and two of his "Fiery Infernleons" return to his Deck, and Luke adds that if he controls two non-Level 1 Spellcaster Type monsters he can return three additional cards to Yuga Goha's Deck, returning his three "Kamaleons" as well. Yuran realizes Luke is trying to bypass the ATK of "Caesarleon" by returning cards from Swirls' Graveyard to his Deck, something Yuka likens to decreasing its RBI, and Luke cheers that this is the trump card Yuga entrusted to him. "Ecdysis Caesarleon" falls to 5500 ATK, Yujin noting it's still a lot, but Luke claims he isn't done yet and Tributes "Sevens Road Enchanter" and "Poet Fairy" to Tribute Summon, chanting "No matter if walls, mountains, or planets block my way! I'll carve open a daor through them all and press onward! Now come on out, Sevens Road Magician!"

Mimi and the rest of the Goha Six gasp and Luke Summons "Cyc the Child of Wind" and activates its effect, adding "Poet Fairy" from his Graveyard to his hand, then Tributing "Cyc" to Summon "Necromaid Nana". Luke sends "Necromaid Nana" to the Graveyard to activate her effect, returning "Lightning Voltcondor" from his Graveyard to his Deck and then drawing two cards, "Raidacross, Hero of the Dusk" and "Pyro Magician". He Summons "Poet Fairy" again and activates her "Poem Charge" effect again by returning "Sevens Road Enchanter", "Cyc", and "Necromaid Nana" from his Graveyard to his Deck, returning Yuga's three "Metal Megaleons" and "Mechaleons" to his Deck, reducing "Caesarleon" to 4900 ATK. Mimi eagerly asks if Luke is going to keep going and Luke crows that of course he is, Tributing "Poet Fairy" to Summon "Pyro Magician", and now that he has three Spellcasters he activates his face-down "Spell Shattering Spear", returning a Spellcaster Type monster from his Graveyard and a Spell or Trap Yuga Goha controls to their hands, Luke naturally taking back "Poet Fairy". Yuga Goha scowls as Luke sends a card from his hand to the Graveyard to return two monsters in Yuga's Graveyard to his Deck, "Armored Lizard" and "Ancient Lizard Warrior". Yuga Goha starts and Yuro celebrates "Caesarleon" falling to 4700 ATK, and Luke sends "Pyro Magician" and "Whispering Fairy" to his Graveyard to draw two more cards, "Swordsman of Roadstar" and "1/Infinity". He Summons "Poet Fairy" again, much to Yuro's joy and Yujin notes this is the third time Luke has Summoned it. Once again Luke activates the "Poem Charge" effect of "Poet Fairy", returning "Raidacross", "Whispering Fairy", and "Pyro Magician" to his Deck and returning Yuga Goha's last "Fiery Infernleon", "Yormungarde", and "Emperor of the Land and Sea" to his Deck, Mimi celebrating as it falls to 4400 ATK.

Then Luke returns all the Spells in his Graveyard to his Deck to activate "1/Infinity", and Yuga Goha gasps as he recalls the card, Luke gleefully explaining that it will return all the Spells in Yuga's Graveyard to his Deck, then they both draw a card and reveal it. They draw, Yuga drawing "Monster Reborn" and Luke drawing Yuga's purple-tinted "Fusion", Yuro recognizing it and Luke gasping its name. He reveals "Fusion" to Yuga Goha, whose hand contains "Monster Reborn" and "Circle of Wrath", and explains that he takes 1000 damage if he draws a different card from Yuga. He groans as he falls to 100 LP, though as Yuran notes he cut down the ATK of "Caesarleon" in one stroke, Yuro gasping that it's down to 3000 ATK. Luke declares this is the end as he Summons "Swordsman of Roadstar", and then he activates "Fusion". Fusing "Sevens Road Magician" and "Swordsman of Roadstar", Luke chants "Witness and tremble as you see it! This is our Fusion Summon! Now, with the new power bestowed by the meteor! The hero of miracles bearing the name of Sevens comes into existence! Wield your demonic blade! Sevens Paladin!" Mimi cheers that Swirls only has 100 LP and Yuro notes that the Multi-Choice Effect of "Sevens Paladin" can power it up for the checkered finish. But Yuga Goha activates a Trap Card, "Wrath of Light", which will prevent Luke from attacking with monsters that have 3000 or more ATK this turn, and Luke chokes in shock as "Ecdysis Caesarleon" powers up to 3100 ATK with another card in Yuga's Graveyard. Yuka notes the two monsters' scoreboards differ by 200 ATK and Yuran states that Luke needs to reduce the ATK of "Caesarleon" by another 300, Mimi pointing out it still has 3100 ATK and Yujin lamenting that Luke won't be able to win if monsters with at least 3000 ATK can't attack. Yuga Goha agrees and tells Luke to give up, but Luke refuses, reminding them that "Sevens Paladin" has two effects, and Yuga gasps as Luke Tributes "Poet Fairy" to Tribute Summon "Hydro Magician", then sends the top card of his Deck to the Graveyard to activate the Multi-Choice Effect of "Sevens Paladin", "Recovery Fate", returning a card from his Graveyard to his Deck to draw a card. He returns "Poet Fairy" to his Deck, Yuga Goha bracing himself as Luke draws, and Luke thinks to himself that this was the path to victory Yuga Ohdo had in mind.

He's drawn "Poet Fairy" and Mimi gasps happily as Luke cheers that it's here, asking "Poet Fairy" to lend his its power again as he Summons it. Yuga Goha protests that this is impossible as Luke returns "Sevens Road Magician", "Swordsman of Roadstar" and "Sparkhearts Girl" to his Deck to activate the "Poem Charge" effect of "Poet Fairy" again, this time returning Yuga Goha's three "Princessleon" to his Deck and reducing "Caesarleon" to 2800 ATK. Mimi is amazed, Yuran celebrating Luke bringing "Caesarleon" to 2800 ATK and Yuka gasping that Luke batted it out. Yuga Goha snaps that this can't be right; the ritual of "Monster Reborn" activated, so why didn't Luke's memories vanish? Luke asks if Yuga Goha really wants to know why and admits that he does too, Yuga Goha thinking that he was right; something inside him had been screaming that Luke is dangerous. He vows that he'll definitely take Luke down, though Luke points out that Yuga Goha can't defeat him and orders "Sevens Paladin" to attack "Ecdysis Caesarleon" with "Seven-Magical Fierce Wave Slash". "Sevens Paladin" infuses its blade with magic and generates the seven crests around it, coalescing them into one and blasting waves of energy crescents that destroy "Ecdysis Caesarleon", blasting Yuga Goha off his feet and reducing his LP to zero.

As Yuga Goha lies shaking on the ground, Luke walks up to him and offers his hand, telling Swirls that he's lost and that he'll have to stop doing bad things as he promised Yuga. But when Yuga Goha reaches for Luke's hand he slaps it aside and gets to his feet, snarling that the promise is invalid, much to Luke's shock. Yuga Goha turns around, pointing out he only promised to stop if Yuga Ohdo won their Rush Duel, and Luke gasps as the President Drone straps itself to Yuga Goha's back, transforming into his wings. Yuga Goha leaps into the air and alights over Luke, vowing to plunge every single one of them into the darkest despair, and as Luke grits hsi teeth and clenches his fist in anger, Yuga Goha flies away, telling him to look forward to it. Luke calls after Swirls, but he doesn't reply, and with him gone, Yuro and Yujin finally bust down the door to the helipad, sprinting out with Mimi, Yuran, Yuka and Mrs. Drone to Luke's friends. Mimi asks if Romin is all right as Yuro sees to Gavin, Yuka and Yujin to Roa, Yuran to Asana and Mrs. Drone to Nail (while poor Kaizo asks if he can put Yuga down now). Mimi is pleased when Romin wakes up, but to her shock Romin asks where she is, and Gavin, Asana, Nail and Roa all seem to have lost their memories as well, absentmindedly walking away as Mimi and the Goha Six stare after them in shock, and Luke runs towards them, but they don't heed his calls. Luke asks what's going on and Mimi realizes that their friends were all exposed to "Monster Reborn's" ritual, wiping their memories. Luke protests that it can't be as he watches his friends wordlessly leave.

Later Yuga wakes up in the hospital, and Luke asks if he's all right and how he's feeling. Yuga thinks he's feeling better and he asks what happened with the Duel, prompting Luke to proudly ask Yuga if he thought he'd lose. Yuga thanks Luke, admitting it's expected of him and Luke admonishes Yuga for trying to solve everything on his own. Yuga apologizes and asks what happened to Swirls, Luke admitting he thinks Swirls needs some more time. Yuga muses that he sees and looks around as he asks where Gavin, Romin and the others are; Luke can't bring himself to tell Yuga what happpened and claims they went home, suggesting he and Yuga get udon on their way home. Yuga agrees as Luke laughs nervously, and Yuga smiles at his friend, but notices something is off.

Featured Duel: Lucidien "Luke" Kallister vs Yuga Goha

Duel continues from the previous episode.

Yuga Ohdo is unable to continue the Duel, so Luke has just taken his place in the Duel with Yuga Ohdo's Deck and remaining LP.

Luke has 1500 LP and controls no cards. Yuga Goha has 100 LP and controls "Predator Gunleon" (2500/600) in Attack Position, one monster in face-down Defense Position, and two Set cards in his Spell & Trap Zones.

Turn 4: Luke
Luke draws "Enchanted Mirror", "Spell Shattering Spear", "Supreme Skystream Magnum Overlord [L]", "Supreme Skystream Magnum Overlord", and "Supreme Skystream Magnum Overlord [R]". Luke Maximum Summons "Magnum Overlord", "Magnum Overlord [L]", and "Magnum Overlord [R]", entering Maximum Mode (3500 MAXIMUM ATK). As Luke Special Summoned a Level 7 or higher monster while Yuga controls a Level 7 or higher Reptile Type monster, Yuga activates his Set Trap Card "Storming Wrath‎", choosing a face-up monster Luke controls and preventing it from activating its effects this turn. He chooses "Magnum Overlord". Luke Sets two cards. "Magnum Overlord" attacks "Predator Gunleon", but since a monster Luke controls declared an attack, Yuga activates his Set Trap Card "Circle of Wrath‎‎", sending the top five cards of his Deck to the Graveyard to negate the attack and return a Level 7 or higher Reptile Type monster he controls to the bottom of his Deck. He sends "Release Wrath" and four unknown cards from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard and returns "Predator Gunleon" to the bottom of his Deck.

Turn 5: Yuga
Yuga activates the Spell Card "Monster Reborn", Special Summoning a monster from either player's Graveyard. He Special Summons "Sevens Road Magician" from Luke's Graveyard (2100/1500). Yuga activates the effect of "Sevens Road Magician", sending the top card of his Deck to the Graveyard to increase its ATK by 300 for each monster with a different Attribute in his Graveyard. He sends "Predator Gunleon" from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard, so he has six different Attributes in his Graveyard ("Sevens Road Magician": 2100/1500 → 3900/1500). Yuga Normal Summons "Mechaleon" (800/600). Yuga Tributes "Mechaleon" and his Set monster to Tribute Summon "Ecdysis Caesarleon" (2000/0). The effect of "Ecdysis Caesarleon" increases its ATK by 100 for each card in Yuga's Graveyard, and he has forty-one ("Ecdysis Caesarleon": 2000/0 → 6100/0). Yuga Sets two cards. "Sevens Road Magician" attacks and destroys "Magnum Overlord" (Luke: 1500 → 1100 LP). "Ecdysis Caesarleon" attacks Luke directly, but Luke activates his Set Trap Card "Enchanted Mirror", returning "Mirror Force" from his Graveyard to his Deck to negate the attack.

Turn 6: Luke
Luke draws "Cyc the Child of Wind", "Whispering Fairy", "Necromaid Nana", "Recovery Force", and "Sevens Road Enchanter". Luke Normal Summons "Sevens Road Enchanter" (1200/100). Luke activates the effect of "Sevens Road Enchanter", sending the top card of his Deck to the Graveyard to choose a non-Level 3 Spellcaster Type monster on the field and return it to the hand, and if Luke returns "Sevens Road Magician" to the hand with this effect, he can draw a card. He sends "Lightning Voltcondor" from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard and returns "Sevens Road Magician" from Yuga's field to Luke's hand, then draws "Hydro Magician".[Note 1] Luke activates the Spell Card "Recovery Force", returning three Spellcaster Type monsters from his Graveyard to his Deck to draw a card. He shuffles "Straynge Cat", "Sevens Road Witch", and "Poet Fairy" from his Graveyard into his Deck and draws "Poet Fairy". Luke Normal Summons "Whispering Fairy" (800/1200) and "Poet Fairy" (600/0). As "Poet Fairy" was Normal Summoned this turn, Luke activates its effect, shuffling three monsters from his Graveyard into his Deck to shuffle three monsters from Yuga's Graveyard into his Deck, then if Luke controls two non-Level 1 Spellcaster Type monsters, he can shuffle three additional monsters from Yuga's Graveyard into his Deck. Luke shuffles "Magnum Overlord [R]", "Magnum Overlord", and "Magnum Overlord [L]" from his Graveyard and two copies of "Fiery Infernleon", "Predator Gunleon", and three copies of "Kamaleon" from Yuga's Graveyard into the Deck ("Ecdysis Caesarleon": 6100/0 → 5500/0). Luke Tributes "Sevens Road Enchanter" and "Poet Fairy" to Tribute Summon "Sevens Road Magician" (2100/1500). Luke Normal Summons "Cyc the Child of Wind" (400/600). As he controls another WIND Attribute Spellcaster Type monster, Luke activates the effect of "Cyc", adding a Level 4 or lower Spellcaster Type monster from his Graveyard to his hand. He adds "Poet Fairy" from his Graveyard to his hand. Luke Tributes "Cyc" to Tribute Summon "Necromaid Nana" (1100/700). Luke activates the effect of "Necromaid Nana", sending it to the Graveyard to place a Level 7 monster from his Graveyard on the bottom of his Deck, then draw 2 cards. He places "Lightning Voltcondor" from his Graveyard on the bottom of his Deck and draws "Raidacross, Hero of the Dusk" and "Pyro Magician". Luke Normal Summons "Poet Fairy" (600/0). Luke activates the effect of "Poet Fairy", shuffling "Sevens Road Enchanter", "Cyc", and "Necromaid Nana" from his Graveyard and three copies of both "Metal Megaleon" and "Mechaleon" from Yuga's Graveyard into his Deck ("Ecdysis Caesarleon": 5500/0 → 4900/0). Luke Tributes "Poet Fairy" to Tribute Summon "Pyro Magician" (1500/800). As he controls three Spellcaster Type monsters, Luke activates his Set Spell Card "Spell Shattering Spear", returning a Spellcaster Type monster from his Graveyard and a Set Spell/Trap Card Yuga controls to the hand. Luke returns "Poet Fairy" from his Graveyard and Yuga's Set "Circle of Wrath‎‎" to the hand.[Note 2] Luke activates the effect of "Whispering Fairy", sending a card from his hand to the Graveyard to shuffle two monsters from Yuga's Graveyard into his Deck. Luke sends "Raidacross" from his hand to his Graveyard and shuffles "Armored Lizard" and "Ancient Lizard Warrior" from Yuga's Graveyard into his Deck ("Ecdysis Caesarleon": 4900/0 → 4700/0).[Note 3] Luke activates the effect of "Pyro Magician", sending two Spellcaster Type monsters he controls to the Graveyard to draw two cards. He sends "Whispering Fairy" and "Pyro Magician" to the Graveyard and draws "Swordsman of Roadstar" and "1/Infinity". Luke Normal Summons "Poet Fairy" (600/0). Luke activates the effect of "Poet Fairy", shuffling "Raidacross", "Whispering Fairy", and "Pyro Magician" from his Graveyard and "Fiery Infernleon", "Yormungarde", and "Emperor of the Land and Sea" from Yuga's Graveyard into the Deck ("Ecdysis Caesarleon": 4700/0 → 4400/0).

As he has no monsters in his Graveyard, Luke activates the Spell Card "1/Infinity", shuffling all Spell Cards from his Graveyard into his Deck to shuffle all Spell Cards from Yuga's Graveyard into his Deck, then have both players draw a card, then Luke reveals his drawn card, and if Yuga does not have a card with the same name in his hand, Luke takes 1000 damage. Luke shuffles "Spell Shattering Spear" and "Recovery Force" from his Graveyard into his Deck, and "Destructurtle Meteor", "Heavenly Gift", two copies of "Hammer Crush", "Pierce!", two copies of "Scale Incense Liberation", two copies of "Release Wrath", "Monster Reborn", and four unknown Spells from Yuga's Graveyard into his Deck ("Ecdysis Caesarleon": 4400/0 → 3000/0), then Luke draws "Fusion" and Yuga draws "Monster Reborn", so Yuga's hand contains "Circle of Wrath‎‎" and "Monster Reborn" (Luke: 1100 → 100 LP). Luke Normal Summons "Swordsman of Roadstar" (1200/500). Luke activates the Spell Card "Fusion", Fusion Summoning a monster from his Extra Deck using face-up monsters he controls as materials. Luke fuses "Sevens Road Magician" and "Swordsman of Roadstar" to Fusion Summon "Sevens Paladin" (2900/2400) in Attack Position. As Luke Special Summoned a Level 7 or higher monster while Yuga controls a Reptile Type monster, Yuga activates his Set Trap Card "Wrath of Light‎", preventing Luke from declaring attacks with monsters with 3000 or more ATK this turn ("Ecdysis Caesarleon": 3000/0 → 3100/0). Luke Tributes "Poet Fairy" to Tribute Summon "Hydro Magician" (1700/1500). Luke activates the effect of "Sevens Paladin", sending the top card of his Deck to the Graveyard to either increase its ATK by 400 for each monster with a different Attribute in either player's Graveyard or shuffle a monster from his Graveyard into his Deck and draw a card. He sends "Sparkhearts Girl" from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard and chooses to shuffle a monster from his Graveyard into his Deck to draw a card, shuffling "Poet Fairy" from his Graveyard into his Deck and drawing "Poet Fairy".[Note 4] Luke Normal Summons "Poet Fairy" (600/0). Luke activates the effect of "Poet Fairy", shuffling "Sevens Road Magician", "Swordsman of Roadstar", and "Sparkhearts Girl" from his Graveyard and three copies of "Princessleon" from Yuga's Graveyard into the Deck ("Ecdysis Caesarleon": 3100/0 → 2800/0). "Sevens Paladin" attacks and destroys "Ecdysis Caesarleon" (Yuga: 100 → 0 LP).
