Kotetsu is a Theme Duel opponent, challenging the player to activate 20 Spell Cards in a single duel.
World Championship 2007[edit]
Kotetsu is a Level 1 Theme Duel opponent that challenges the player to Equip cards at least 5 times.
World Championship 2008[edit]
Kotetsu sometimes appears inside the volcano in the Civilization Duel World. If talked to, he will offer to make an Equip Spell Card for the player, which will be ready by talking to him several duels after first talking to him.
Kotetsu requests DP for the Equip Spell he creates, and if the player refuses to pay, they will be forced to duel him. If the player wins, Kotetsu will let them have the card for free. If the player loses, Kotetsu will force them to pay DP for the card.
