Domino City (童実野町 Domino-chō) is a city in Japan in the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga, Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's manga and Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions. This is the original version of Domino City.

In the 1990s, Domino City is the hometown of Yugi Mutou and his friends. The Battle City tournament and many of Dark Yugi's Shadow Games took place here. By 20XX, the city was split into the wealthy New Domino City and the poorer Satellite. The D1 Grand Prix tournament took place in both divisions.

History

1990s

In 1996,[1] Pharaoh Atem reawakened in Yugi Mutou's body, as Dark Yugi, in Domino City.[2] He defeated many people who wronged Yugi and his friends in various Shadow Games, within the city, and inflicted Penalty Games on the losers.

High-ranking Duel Monsters players from Japan gathered in Domino City at the pier in order to depart to the Duelist Kingdom tournament.

KaibaCorp hosted the Battle City Duel Monsters tournament, which used the streets of Domino City as the stage for its preliminary rounds.[3]

The Shadow RPG Dark Yugi played to regain his memories took place in Domino City Museum.

20XX

In the 21st century,[4] the D1 Grand Prix tournament took place with the first stage taking place in New Domino City and the second stage in Satellite.
