Welcome back to the Duel Academy! This school year is highlighted by an event like no other, something brand new to world of Yu-Gi-Oh! The Academy has decided to hold a tournament with one catch - you now have a tag team partner to help you duel! Practice dueling with your friends, find the best partner, and the winner of the tournament will be allowed the use of Duel Academy Island for a day.

Forbidden/Restricted Cards

The game, by default, uses a banned/restricted list as of September 2006. It is possible to download and enable the March 2007 list, however, the computer opponents' decks will not follow these restrictions.

Sequel

According to [1] and other sources a sequel to this game is in the works. The sequel is confirmed to have a Society of Light related storyline along with having Sartorius as an in-game opponent, as well as delving at least part way into the Overseas Champions storyline. Its card pool also contains all the sets up to Tactical Evolution, plus at least a few cards from Gladiator's Assault. Originally scheduled to be released in August, unspecified setbacks have pushed its release to sometime in the fourth quarter 2007.

Also, a Playstation 2 version of this game, entitled Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force Evolution (Beginning of Destiny in America), that allows you to use USB connectivity with Tag Force 2 in order to get bonus DP and allows you to take cards from your Tag Force 2 game data, mainly Philosopher's Stone - Sabatiel and Illusion Gate. Its release date is January 8, 2008.
