Gurimo

Gurimo is a member of Doma, appearing only in the Waking the Dragons story arc.

Biography

Gurimo is Rafael's subordinate. He defeats Rex Raptor and Weevil Underwood and captures their souls. After Rafael, Valon and Alister steal the Egyptian Gods from Yugi Muto, they give "Obelisk the Tormentor" to Gurimo, who proceeds to challenge Yugi using it and "The Seal of Orichalcos".[1] By infecting it with the seal's power, Gurimo even manages to control "Obelisk" without the fatal side effects which usually occur when those deemed "unworthy" attempt to summon the Egyptian Gods.

Yugi manages to defeat him, though Gurimo's soul is absorbed by the Seal.[2] It is unknown what officially became of Gurimo's soul at the end of the arc though it was most likely released as every other soul captured on-screen by the Seal was set free.

In the English dubbed anime, Gurimo's name is never spoken, instead he is referred to as "the Old Man" by Alister and "Ol' Red Eyes" by Joey Wheeler, referring to the effect of The Seal of Orichalcos and how it makes the user of it appear to have glowing red eyes.

Personality

Gurimo is always a loyalty to the organization as he is insanity to claim the soul for the sake of it group become domination to all of the low being.

Deck

Record
Opponent Episode(s) Outcome
Rex Raptor & Weevil Underwood 145 Win
Yami Yugi/Yugi Muto 145-146 Lose

Gurimo runs a Warrior Deck, focused on a Swarm strategy. His monsters' otherwise mediocre ATK are increased by both "The Seal of Orichalcos" and "The A. Forces". While "The Seal of Orichalcos" is on the field and under his control, he can use his Magic & Trap Card Zones as Monster Card Zones; this protects his stronger monsters from being attacked by opposing monsters, as his more defensive monsters are summoned to the front row. This strategy also works well with "Obelisk the Tormentor", as it gives him enough monsters to Tribute for both its Summon and effect.
