Pseudo-Flip Effects are similar to Flip Effects, however, they just state they are activated when the card is "flipped face-up", therefore they wouldn't be negated by card effects that negate Flip effects (like "Ceasefire", "The Spell Absorbing Life", or "Evil HERO Dark Gaia") for example. Recently, they have been replacing Flip Effect Monsters, with only a few true Flip Effect Monsters released.
Examples of monsters with such effects are "worm yagan", "Dark Dust Spirit", "Nightmare Penguin", and "Fossil Dyna Pachycephalo".
