Accel Synchro Summon
An Accel Synchro Summon (アクセルシンクロ
When an Accel Synchro Summon is performed, the Duelist and the Synchro Materials are shown to rapidly accelerate, briefly vanish, and then reappear behind their opponent along with their new Accel Synchro Monster.
Accel Synchro Summon is not an official term in the TCG/OCG.
Example[edit]
A Level 2 Tuner Synchro Monster ("Formula Synchron")
+ A Level 8 non-Tuner Synchro Monster ("Stardust Dragon")
= A Level 10 Accel Synchro Monster ("Shooting Star Dragon")
Appearances[edit]
Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links[edit]
In Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links, a special Accel Synchro Summon animation is played instead of the standard Synchro Summon animation when certain monsters are Synchro Summoned by certain Legendary Duelists. The animation has a red background rather than the usual blue background.
- Yusei Fudo: "Stardust Chronicle Spark Dragon", "Shooting Star Dragon", and "Stardust Warrior"
- When Yusei Synchro Summons "Shooting Star Dragon", a special variant of the Accel Synchro Summon animation is used, which shows the Marks of the Dragon uniting as part of the animation.
- Antinomy: "T.G. Blade Blaster" and "T.G. Halberd Cannon"
Trivia[edit]
- In the TCG/OCG, the ability to perform Accel Synchro Summons in the opponent's turn in the anime is mirrored by an additional Quick Effect to perform a Synchro Summon found on the TCG/OCG counterparts to the Synchro Tuner Monsters used for Accel Synchro Summons in the anime (e.g. "Formula Synchron").
- The Quick-Play Spell Card "Accel Synchro" (used by Yusei Fudo in the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's manga) and the Tuner Synchro Monster "Accel Synchron" are based on Accel Synchro.
