DIVINE (かみ Kami, "God") is one of the seven legal Attributes in the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG and OCG.

The DIVINE Attribute was initially only used on the three original Egyptian God cards, which were illegal in official play. The Attribute was not considered legal until the end of 2008, when "Obelisk the Tormentor" was first released in the OCG as an Effect Monster as a V Jump promotional card. By the end of 2012, all three Egyptian Gods had received legal releases in both the OCG and TCG. Additionally, the combined form of all three Egyptian Gods, "The Creator God of Light, Horakhty", has been released as a fourth DIVINE monster in the OCG. "The Winged Dragon of Ra - Sphere Mode" was later released as a fifth DIVINE monster in the OCG (fourth in the TCG). In the OCG, "The Winged Dragon of Ra - God Phoenix" was also released as the sixth DIVINE monster.

The DIVINE Attribute's exclusive nature makes it useful in some cases; for example, it is the only Attribute unaffected by "Clear World".

Aside from the three Egyptian Gods and their combined form, other monsters have also been considered DIVINE Attribute outside of the OCG and TCG. For example, in the Yu-Gi-Oh! R manga, the three Wicked Gods are DIVINE, and in the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's anime, the three "Aesir" are DIVINE. All six cards have different Attributes in the OCG and TCG.

Yu-Gi-Oh! BAM

In Yu-Gi-Oh! BAM, the DIVINE Attribute is used by the Sacred Beasts; "Raviel, Lord of Phantasms", "Uria, Lord of Searing Flames" and "Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder". DIVINE cards have their own black and gold frame and only one DIVINE card can be included in a Deck.[1]
