Dimension Summon |
A Dimension Summon is a method of Special Summoning a monster from the hand without Tributing or paying a cost. Unlike standard Summoning this type of Summon requires the duelist to use "spirit energy". The user uses their "spirit energy" to try and charge up their monster's ATK and DEF. The amount of "spirit energy" put in by the Duelist will result in the monster's ATK and DEF. The monster Summoned cannot surpass its original ATK or DEF. Players take no battle damage from battles involving Dimension Summoned monsters, but will take damage equal to their ATK when they are destroyed. This type of Summon was first seen in the Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions.
