"Student Council Crisis", known as "I'll Yameruler the Sogetsu Style" in the Japanese version, is the forty-first episode of the Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS anime. It first aired in Japan on March 20, 2021.

Rayne suddenly requests to leave the Student Council and the Sogetsu Style. In response to the unexpected action, the bewildered Gavin tells her that she has to defeat him in a Rush Duel as condition. Rayne, who up until then had devotedly served Gavin and revered him as her lord, starts to display an unusually provoking attitude towards him. In addition to her special ability(!?) "Rayne-o-Vision", it turns out Rayne also harbors some secret feelings...

Summary[edit]

Mimi receives a business proposal.

In her office, Mimi notes that the popularity of Rush Dueling is increasing, and while she's personally fine with it, the reputation of Goha Enterprises is likely to go down the drain at this rate. She asks the President Drone what they should do about this, but it just chuckles. Goha's secretary then enters her office, asking the President to examine this business proposal; a notebook covered in crayon that is scratching out the image of a Duel Disk in Rush Duel mode that reads "My best, most awesome plan". Mimi wonders which stupid employee thought this up, but is floored when she actually reads it as the President Drone chuckles.

Yuga, Luke and Gavin learn that Rayne intends to leave the Student Council.

As Yuga arrives at school, Gavin screams "WHAT DID YOU SAY?!" Yuga asks Gavin, Romin, Luke and his three classmates what's going on, and Romin explains that a friend of a friend of the other students claims to have a Maximum Monster, much to Yuga's surprise. Luke immediately orders the other boys to swear they're telling the truth, and they insist it really was a Maximum, explaining that it was in a newly released pack when Yuga inquires further. Yuga realizes what this means, and takes Gavin and Luke aside to discuss the situation in the hall before class, wondering if Goha Enterprises are printing official Maximum Monsters now. Gavin believes they can't be, as Maximums were created during the Duels between Yuga and Nail and are extremely rare; if the rumored Maximum is real, then it means that Goha have officially approved Rush Dueling and they would never do that. Rayne emerges from the Student Council room and politely greets Gavin; after he returns her greeting she politely asks him to allow her to graduate from the Student Council and the Sogetsu Style immediately. Gavin, Luke and Yuga initially dismiss her statement and go back to talking about the Maximum, but then they register what she actually said and react in shock, Gavin in particular given that they were going to make Neo Sogetsu Style more exciting. After Rayne reconfirms her decision, Gavin asks why she's leaving so suddenly, but the chime of the bell reminds him that he can't afford to be late for class given that he's the Student Council president, so he tells Rayne that they'll continue this in the Student Council room during their lunch break.

Gavin challenges Rayne to a Rush Duel.

At lunch, Gavin heads for the Student Council room, wondering why Rayne has chosen now of all times. As he enters the room he apologizes for keeping them waiting, but is shocked to see Luke and Kaizo at his desk. Luke claims that he is now the vice-president of the Goha #7 Elementary Student Council, while Kaizo is his aide. Gavin isn't impressed, but Luke reminds him that Rayne has resigned, and the person that succeeds her is the runner-up of the last election; which was Luke. Gavin remembers the election that had to be held after he lost to Yuga and promised to step down as Luke and Kaizo cackle madly with power. Gavin coolly points out that Rayne hasn't resigned yet, though Luke and Kaizo don't listen and head off to make the school more "Dragias-colored". As Gavin tries to call them back, Rayne arrives, and Gavin quickly explains the situation to her, but Rayne simply withdraws some books from her desk and politely tells Gavin - calling him by his last name - that it was a pleasure working with him. Gavin is shocked that she's treating him like a stranger, but Rayne claims they're no longer master and servant now that she's graduated from the Student Council and Sogetsu Style. As Rayne takes out her Kuroko uniform Gavin asks her why she wants to quit Sogetsu Style even if he accepted her resignation from the council, though Rayne claims she's no longer obligated to answer as she is no longer someone with any affiliation to him. Gavin isn't happy to hear that, insisting that she'll have to defeat him in a Rush Duel if she wants to quit so badly, though he has to hurry off to class again. He tells her to wait for him at the dojo after school, inadvertently setting off her "Rayne-o-Vision". As Rayne tries to bring herself out of it, Rino zips up behind her in his own Kuroko uniform and begs her to snap out of this, asking if this is really okay and suggesting she tell Gavin the truth. Rayne insists that it's fine and that she's made up her mind, tossing her Kuroko uniform into the rubbish bin.

At the dojo after school, Gavin changes into his kimono and waits for Rayne, while Rino, Yuga and Romin sit on the sidelines. Romin asks if Rayne is really serious about graduating, and Rino confirms that she is, as she's never kept Gavin waiting like this before. Rayne arrives, throwing open the door to the dojo and announcing the graduates' entry, bowing, and declaring that they will now hold the graduation ceremony known as a Rush Duel. Gavin reminds her that she will not graduate if he wins, while Rayne vows to win, and Gavin declares that he's ready to go, while Rayne calls "Bloom!" and they both insert their Decks into their Duel Disks and call "Rush Duel!" deploying the blades and the green holographic dome.

Rayne has Yuga, Romin and Rino bow.

Romin asks if Gavin and Rayne are practice partners, and Rino confirms that they practice every day, which Yuga notes means they will know one another's cards. Romin asks if Gavin should have the advantage as the head of the Sogetsu Style, but Rino isn't sure given how crazy his sister is acting. Rayne declares her turn and draws, her hand containing "Kurobana the Shadow Flower Wolf", "Yuri the Shadow Flower Fiend", two copies of "Shadow Flower Art of the Sickle Lily", and "Etraynze the Shadow Flower Ninja". She Summons "Kurobana the Shadow Flower Wolf" and "Yuri the Shadow Flower Fiend", then activates the effect of "Yuri" since she controls "Kurobana", sending the top cards of their Decks to the Graveyard (another "Etraynze" and "Yurushima the Hermit"). Rayne then Tributes "Kurobana" and "Yuri" to Tribute Summon, chanting "Behind the flowers that bloom in the sunlight are concealed buds that open up in the darkness. Even as they are scattered and cut, let them at least play their dance—a dance of shadows. Etraynze the Shadow Flower Ninja!" Yuga is excited to see Rayne's ace monster, and Rayne Sets two cards, then tells the currents students to stand, much to Yuga and Romin's confusion as they do so. Rayne tells them to bow, they do so, and she ends her turn, bidding them to sit down again. Romin asks what that was, though Yuga has just realized that Luke isn't with them.

Luke and Kaizo go mad with power.

Luke is off with Kaizo, now dressed entirely in blue and bidding other students to paint the school building blue as well. Scoop, Masa and Cub zip over to interview him, and Luke announces the "Luke Festival"; a two-day congratulations of the Student Council's new vice-president, much to the displeasure of the Newspaper Club. Kaizo proudly claims that they're doing everything in their power to make the school "Dragias"-colored - including the floors and the plants. Luke cackles in joy and Kaizo drowns in the power by dunking himself into a paint bucket, and as the two of them laugh together, Cub takes photographs as Scoop gasps that this is a scoop.

Rayne and "Etraynze" mock Gavin.

Gavin declares his turn and draws, musing that Rayne's Deck should largely contain EARTH monsters as he examines his hand, containing "Crying Moon Rabbit", "Princess Liarth the Attribute Star", "Nandes the Fire Awakener", "Hermit's Assistance", and "Yamiruler the Dark Delayer". He Summons "Crying Moon Rabbit" and "Princess Liarth the Attribute Star", before sending the top card of his Deck to the Graveyard ("Kimeruler the Dark Raider") to activate the effect of "Liarth", which Rino recalls reduces the ATK of his opponent's EARTH monsters by 500 until the end of the turn. Gavin notes that "Etraynze" will lose 500 ATK, falling to 1800 ATK, and then he Tributes "Crying Moon Rabbit" and "Liarth" to Tribute Summon, but before he can begin chanting, Rayne comments that Gavin is about to Summon one of his "Rulers", isn't he? Gavin stops in shock as Rayne comments that Gavin is all about those "Rulers", so which one will he Summon? A "Ruler" or a "Ru-loser?" Poor Rino can only twitch his fingers in embarrassment as Romin and Yuga gape in utter shock and Rayne and "Etraynze" tap their feet in time as Rayne continues to mock Gavin. Gavin angrily snaps at her to stop making fun of them (and invoking the name of "Yamiruler" in the process), insisting that this is not just any "Ruler" before chanting "Come forth, Yamiruler the Dark Delayer!"

The ATK and effects of "Yamiruler" are sapped.

But as "Yamiruler" appears with 2500 ATK, Rayne activates a Trap Card, "Shadow Flower Art of the Sickle Lily", reducing the ATK of an Attack Position monster Gavin controls to zero until the end of the turn and preventing it from activating its effect this turn. Gavin gasps "What?!" as Rayne crows over "Yamiruler" going to sleep, and Yuga notes that Rayne has sealed Gavin's ace, while Romin notes that he can't do anything this turn. Rino admits that his sister might be a step ahead of Gavin even though they know one another so well, and Rayne asks Gavin what he will do now that he has a "Uselessruler". Gavin looks at the "Nandes the Fire Awakener" in his hand, which he had planned to combine with "Yamiruler" to defeat Rayne, but is forced to Set it instead, then Sets the remaining card in his hand. He tells the current students to stand, and Yuga, Romin and Rino do so, then Gavin ends his turn, returning the ATK of "Yamiruler" and "Etraynze" to normal. He tells the students to bow, and then sit, which they do (Romin wondering what on earth this is).

Rayne declares her turn and draws "Acacia the Shadow Flower Priestess", "Gekka the Shadow Flower Beauty", "Gajumaru the Shadow Flower Lion", "Attribute Shift Bomb", and her third "Etraynze". She Summons "Acacia the Shadow Flower Priestess" and "Gekka the Shadow Flower Beauty", then pays 500 LP to activate the effect of "Gekka", adding an EARTH Plant monster from her Graveyard to her hand. Falling to 3500 LP and adding "Kurobana" back to her hand, she then activates the effect of "Acacia", changing a face-down Defense Position monster to Attack Position. "Nandes" is flipped face-up, and Rayne then gains LP equal to its ATK, which Yuga notes is 1200, so Rayne rises to 4700 LP, much to Romin's shock. Rayne crows that a "Nande-less" person like her can easy see through the tricks of Gavin and his "Rulers", and she Tributes two monsters to Tribute Summon, chanting "An angry lion lurks in the shadows, baring its fangs in the darkness of light. Once it bites, it will never let go! Come forth! Gajumaru the Shadow Flower Orchid Lion!" "Gajumaru" appears with 2400 ATK, and Rayne then activates the Spell Card "Attribute Shift Bomb", revealing the "Etraynze" in her hand to change the Attribute of a monster Gavin controls to that of the revealed "Etraynze". Gavin gasps as "Yamiruler" becomes an EARTH monster, and Rayne then sends the "Etraynze" from her hand to the Graveyard to activate the effect of the one on her field, Special Summoning another copy from her Graveyard. Then she sends one of her "Etraynzes" to the Graveyard to activate the "Fanged Beast's Shadowbinding of the Soul" effect of "Gajumaru", who engulfs "Yamiruler" in its shadow as Rayne explains that it will reduce the ATK of an EARTH monster Gavin controls to zero. Gavin gasps and Romin cries that the ATK of "Yamiruler" has been reduced to zero again, Yuga realizing this is why Rayne made "Yamiruler" EARTH-Attribute. Rayne then sends another monster from her hand to the Graveyard to activate the effect of her other "Etraynze", Special Summoning another "Etraynze", and as Gavin grits his teeth Yuga notes that he's in a tough spot.

Rayne sinks deeper into her delusions.

But Rino is worrying over his sister, realizing that she's really serious about this, and Rayne confirms that she is; her time with everyone will come to an end on her graduation ceremony. But in her "Rayne-o-Vision", she sees Romin, Rino and Yuga smiling happily, and she swoons and falls to her knees, Gavin gasping her name. In her Rayne-o-Vision, Rayne cheerfully declares that she will now graduate from the Sogetsu Style, remembering the times she has spent with her friends...and embellishing them dramatically, a sports day, a pillow fight, a Roman holiday, stopping Armageddon, and as the seven Duelists who fought against bandits together (with Galian as part of their group). Gavin has absolutely no idea what Rayne is talking about as she fawns over the embellished memories, and Romin awkwardly asks what is going on. Rino explains that the Nanahoshi family have lived by serving other people for generations, and their pride comes in working from the shadows as supporting actors in other people's plays, but his crazy sister had a taste of the spotlight and entered a fictional world where she was the dramatic protagonist, and Romin and Yuga sweatdrop as Rino insists that Rayne has gone completely insane. Gavin tells her to get ahold of herself as Rino laments that Rayne has been like this for a while and questioned whether she could serve Gavin, if it was her fault that he had abandoned Sogetsu Style, and surely it was her fault Gavin hadn't grown as a person. Poor Gavin can only ask what is going on as Rayne offers him cheers to his lovely eyes - and then she orders "Gajumaru" to attack "Yamiruler" with "Orchid Lion's Spinning Slash", destroying it and reducing Gavin to 1600 LP. Then Rayne orders an "Etraynze" to attack "Nandes", who destroys it with a blast of petals and reduces Gavin to 500 LP. Rayne declares "See you in hell, baby" and orders her other "Etraynze" to attack Gavin directly, blasting petals at him.

Gavin's Trap defends him.

Gavin activates a Trap Card, "Hermit's Assistance", which absorbs the petal blast as Rino gasps that it can only be used when the player is attacked directly, allowing them to Special Summon two monsters with different Levels from their Graveyard. Gavin revives "Crying Moon Rabbit" and "Yurushima the Hermit" in Defense Position, allowing the petal blast to continue on and strike "Yurushima", destroying it. Rayne stands straight and tells the current students to stand; Romin, Yuga and Rino do so, and Rayne ends her turn, returning the Special Summoned "Etraynzes" to the bottom of her Deck. She tells them to bow and then sit, and they do so, poor Romin asking what is going on again and noting the LP deficit between Gavin and Romin.

Gavin assembles three powerful monsters, stunning Rayne.

Hanging his head in shame, Gavin laments that the reason Rayne has become like this is because of his immaturity, and he vows to show her how distinguished he can really be, declaring his turn and drawing "Tama the Mancer Cat", "Semeruler the Dark Summoner", "Icezark the Unequaled", "Takegumi the Ruler's Squad", and "Blue Falcon Tengu". He Summons "Tama the Mancer Cat" and activates its effect, sending two cards from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard and then Special Summoning a monster with zero ATK from his Graveyard. Sending another "Yurushima the Hermit" and "Ancient Turtle Protector" to the Graveyard, he revives "Yurushima" in Defense Position. Then he Tributes "Tama the Mancer Cat" and "Crying Moon Rabbit", chanting "To attack, if attacking, when attacking — that is where I can find my new self. Now is the time to attack and raise a cry of victory! Depart for battle! Semeruler the Dark Summoner!" Just as she did on his last turn, Rayne activates her Trap Card, "Shadow Flower Art of the Sickle Lily", and Gavin cries "What?!" as "Semeruler" glows with a blue light and falls to zero ATK. Romin laments the Trap being used again and Yuga notes that now "Semeruler" has no ATK and can't use its effect, while Rayne taunts Gavin over his "Rulers" being losers and suggests that he give up. Gavin indignantly reminds her that he said he would show them the true and distinguished Gavin Sogetsu, and he Tributes "Semeruler" and "Yurushima" to Tribute Summon, chanting "The days I swore to never waver, that I would never forget, that it wouldn't do not to fly towards a challenge! Come forth! Icezark the Unequaled!" "Icezark", a crystalline bird appears with 2000 ATK, and Yuga and Romin celebrate Gavin bringing out his new ace. Rayne is shocked that Gavin hasn't Summoned a "Ruler" and she finally sees reality with Rino's confirmation. Gavin returns "Yamiruler" and "Kimeruler" from his Graveyard to the bottom of his Deck to activate the "Invitation to the Demons' Rendezvous" effect of "Icezark", Special Summoning "Semeruler" from his Graveyard. Then he activates the effect of "Semeruler", sending a card from his hand to the Graveyard to Special Summon the zero ATK "Takegumi the Ruler's Squad" from his hand, and have it gain ATK equal to its 1800 DEF. Rayne flinches backwards in shock as Gavin activates the effect of "Takegumi", sending the top card of his Deck ("Scroll of Salutation") to the Graveyard to increase the ATK of "Icezark" by 200 times the number of monsters with zero ATK in his Graveyard, and with five, it gains 1000 ATK, rising to 3000 as Yuga observes. Rayne can only stare in shock at Gavin's three monsters, and this time her entranced view is not tainted by fantasy, wishing for Gavin to shine even brighter. Gavin orders "Icezark the Unequaled" to attack "Gajumaru the Shadow Flower Lion" with "Hermitic Demon: Icy Flight of Love", and "Icezark" destroys "Gajumaru" by whipping up an icy wind, reducing Rayne to 4100 LP. Then he orders "Semeruler the Dark Summoner" to attack Rayne directly with "Demon Commander: Earthshaking Event", and "Semeruler" cuts Rayne down with a blade of energy from its sword and reduces her to 1600 LP. As the smoke fades, Rayne thinks in adoration that Gavin has become such a splendid man. Gavin orders "Takegumi" to finish her off, and as "Takegumi" brings down its weapon, Rino calls out to his sister and throws her kuroko uniform to her. Rayne catches it as the attack strikes, reducing her LP to zero.

Rayne leaves Gavin's service.

As Rino whispers "Sister..." sadly, Romin cries that Gavin won, and Yuga realizes what this means. Gavin walks up to Rayne and whispers her name, and then she straightens up with her veil on and throws confetti over him, praising him, but still addressing him by his full name. Gavin asks if she's changed her mind, but Rayne tells him that she hasn't, as she severed their master-student relationship even though she wasn't in her right mind and she cannot return to his side, though this time she addresses him with honorifics again. She bows, thanking him for everything and asking him to take care of himself before leaving the dojo. As they watch her leave, Romin asks if Gavin is okay with this, and Gavin replies that it was unavoidable, but wishes he had understood Rayne's feelings earlier and vows to become an even more distinguished Duelist.

Tiger shows up to put an end to Luke's abuse of power.

After changing back into his school clothes, Gavin, Yuga and Romin leave school, Yuga and Romin trying to urge Gavin to cheer up a bit, but Gavin laments that the world has been painted as blue as his mood...and they they realize that the school has been painted blue. They hear cheering and turn to see Luke sitting in a throne held by some other students, much to Gavin's fury. Luke tells Gavin that he has time to wield his power if he has time to be depressed, using his "gamma-ray burst" of power to turn Goha #7 Elementary the color of "Dragias" as an example and crowing over abusing his power with Kaizo. But then he hears something behind him, and turns in terror to see Tiger standing behind him with her bassoon planted firmly in the ground, and naturally, he makes the mistake of calling her his big sister, resulting in her yelling him and Kaizo into the wall with a reminder to call her Tiger. As Luke and Kaizo fall from their crash point, she turns away and tells him to be trampled by those powers for the rest of his life.

Prioria Sweetalina appears to announce the Rush Duel Tournament.
Rayne offers her services to Nail.

But then a blonde girl who resembles Celestia Noodlina pops up on the building's videoscreen and greets the people of the modern era. Romin mistakes her for Celestia, while Yuga wonders who she is and the damaged Kaizo mistakes the girl for Terra Kneadalina. The girl introduces herself as Prioria Sweetalina, claiming to be an ancient from a bygone civilization, though she tells them they can call her "Kako-chan", a name Kaizo repeats before deactivating from damage. Prioria claims to be bringing them the latest news from ancient times; Goha Enterprises are hosting a Rush Duel Tournament. Yuga repeats her words in shock, and Prioria comments that the future looks pretty fun before compressing into her dogu dress and flying away. Romin asks Yuga what that was about, and Gavin wonders if Goha has finally accepted Rush Dueling, something that Yuga considers.

Meanwhile in Nexus, Rayne offers her services to Nail, though Nail, sitting in the repaired Seatbastian, notes that this isn't within his providence.

As Rayne controls an EARTH monster, Gavin activates the effect of "Liarth", sending the top card of his Deck to the Graveyard to choose a face-up monster Rayne controls to have it lose 500 ATK until the end of the turn. He sends "Kimeruler the Dark Raider" from the top of her Deck to the Graveyard, then chooses "Etraynze" ("Etraynze": 2300/1000 → 1800/1000). Gavin Tributes "Crying Moon Rabbit" and "Liarth" to Tribute Summon "Yamiruler the Dark Delayer" (2500/2500). As Gavin Summoned a monster while Rayne controls a Level 7 or higher monster, she activates her Set Trap "Shadow Flower Art of the Sickle Lily", choose a monster Gavin controls and changing its original ATK and DEF to 0 for the rest of this turn, and if she chooses a Warrior Type monster with this effect, that monster cannot activate its effects this turn. She chooses "Yamiruler" ("Yamiruler": 2500/2500 → 0/0). Gavin Sets a monster. Gavin Sets a card. At the end of the turn, the ATK of "Etraynze" and "Yamiruler" return to normal ("Etraynze": 1800/1000 → 2300/1000)("Yamiruler": 0/0 → 2500/2500).

Rayne Normal Summons "Acacia the Shadow Flower Priestess" (1000/1000) and "Gekka the Shadow Flower Beauty" (0/1300). As Rayne controls a Level 7 or higher Plant Type monster, she activates the effect of "Acacia", choosing a Defense Position monster Gavin controls to change it to Attack Position, and if she changes a monster to Attack Position with this effect, she gains LP equal to that monster's original ATK. She changes Gavin's Set "Nandes" (1200/1000) to Attack Position (Rayne: 3500 → 4700 LP). Rayne Tributes "Acacia" and "Gekka" to Tribute Summon "Gajumaru the Shadow Flower Lion" (2400/1500). Rayne activates the Spell "Attribute Shift Bomb", revealing a monster from her hand to choose up to three face-up monsters Gavin controls and change their Attributes to the revealed monster's Attribute. Rayne reveals the EARTH "Etraynze" and chooses "Yamiruler", changing its Attribute to EARTH. Rayne activates the effect of "Etraynze", sending a Plant monster from her hand to the Graveyard to Special Summon another "Etraynze the Shadow Flower Ninja" from her Graveyard, but that monster will be placed on the bottom of her Deck at the end of this turn, also the "Etraynze" that activated its effect cannot attack directly this turn. She sends a "Etraynze" from her hand to the Graveyard and Special Summons a "Etraynze" (2300/1000) from her Graveyard in Attack Position. "Gajumaru" attacks and destroys "Yamiruler" (Gavin: 4000 → 1600 LP). A "Etraynze" attacks and destroys "Nandes" (Gavin: 1600 → 500 LP). The other "Etraynze" attacks Gavin directly, but as a monster with 2000 or more ATK declared a direct attack, Gavin activates his Set Trap "Hermit's Assistance", Special Summoning Normal Monsters with 0 ATK that have different Levels from his Graveyard. He Special Summons "Yurushima the Hermit" (0/2000) and "Crying Moon Rabbit" (0/1400). A replay occurs and "Etraynze" attacks and destroys "Yurushima". At the end of the turn, the two "Etraynzes" are placed on the bottom of Rayne's Deck.

Turn 4: Gavin

As he controls another monster with 0 ATK, Gavin activates the effect of "Tama the Mancer Cat", sending the top two cards of his Deck to the Graveyard, and if he sends a monster with 0 ATK to the Graveyard this way, he can Special Summon a Normal Monster with 0 ATK from his Graveyard. Gavin sends the 0 ATK "Yurushima the Hermit" and "Ancient Turtle Protector" to the Graveyard, then Special Summons "Yurushima" (0/2000) in Defense Position. Gavin Tributes "Tama the Mancer Cat" and "Moonlit Tears" to Tribute Summon "Semeruler the Dark Summoner" (2500/2000). As Gavin Summoned a monster while Rayne controls a Level 7 or higher monster, she activates her Set Trap "Ninjitsu Art of Sleeping Sickle", choosing to reduce the ATK of "Semeruler" to zero and prevent it from activating its effect this turn ("Semeruler": 2500/2000 → 0/0). Gavin Tributes "Semeruler" and "Yurushima" to Tribute Summon "Icezark the Unequaled" (2000/2000). Gavin activates the effect of "Icezark", placing two Level 7 or higher Warrior Type monsters with different names on the bottom of his Deck in any order to Special Summon a Level 7 or higher Warrior Type monster from his Graveyard. He places "Yamiruler" and "Kimeruler" on the bottom of his Deck and Special Summons "Semeruler" (2500/2000) from his Graveyard in Attack Position. Gavin activates the effect of "Semeruler", sending a card from his hand to the Graveyard to Special Summon a monster with 0 ATK from his hand, and if he does, that monster gains ATK equal to its original DEF until the end of this turn. He sends "Blue Falcon Tengu" to the Graveyard and Special Summons "Takegumi the Ruler's Squad" (0/1800 → 1800/1800). As Gavin has a monster with 0 ATK in his Graveyard, he activates the effect of "Takegumi", sending the top card of his Deck to the Graveyard to choose a monster he controls and have it gain 200 ATK for each monster with 0 ATK in his Graveyard until the end of this turn. Gavin sends "Scroll of Salutation" from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard and chooses "Icezark", and he has five monsters with 0 ATK in his Graveyard ("Icezark": 2000/2000 → 3000/2000). "Icezark" attacks and destroys "Gajumaru" (Rayne: 4700 → 4100 LP). "Semeruler" and "Takegumi" attack Rayne directly (Rayne: 4100 → 1600 → 0 LP).

The following cards appeared in this episode. Cards in italics debuted here.

Trivia[edit]

  • This episode's title reflects a running gag with Gavin's signature monster, "Yamiruler the Dark Delayer" ("Yameruler the Demon Commander" in the Japanese version). The name "Yameruler" is a play on "Yameru" (止める), which means "to stop (an activity)", "to cease" or "to quit".
  • At various points during the episode, Rayne references or quotes several movies:
