' (サイバース Saibāsu) is a Type of monster. This Type is used by Yusaku Fujiki in VRAINS. Appearance-wise, they resemble creatures and humanoids strongly connected to elements of digital technology and cyberspace, albeit at times they tend to resemble either Machine or Psychic-Type monsters (the humanoids bearing design elements from the TRON franchise). The name is a portmanteau of "Cyber" (サイバー Saibā) and "Universe" (ユニバース Yunibāsu).

In the anime

In VRAINS, the monsters appear to be a special kind of monster related to the world. When Yusaku used these monsters in his Duel against the Knights of Hanoi, the spectators were surprised to see him possess monsters. As stated by Revolver, through currently unknown means the Knights of Hanoi had destroyed a vast amount of them to the point they believed monsters to be extinct.
