Lists

Sea Serpent monsters make up the smallest portion of monster cards in general, and it is the most unsupported Type. In the early days of the game, Sea Serpent monsters had a similar relationship to Fish that Dinosaurs once had to Reptiles - Fish were the weaker, lower-level water monsters and Sea Serpents were the more powerful, higher-level monsters, "Big Fish," essentially. This has changed, since Fish have recently increased in number and utility. What few Sea Serpents there are, however, tend to be very powerful in WATER-based decks, and they should not be dismissed or underestimated.

Some major Sea Serpents include "Levia-Dragon - Daedalus", "Ocean Dragon Lord - Neo-Daedalus", "Orca Mega-Fortress of Darkness", "Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Boundary", "Divine Leviadragon - Gishilnodon", "Spiral Serpent", "Water Dragon", "Gemini Lancer" and "Kaiser Sea Horse".

The only support cards Sea Serpent monsters had were "Umi" and "A Legendary Ocean", and many good strategies for them revolve around these cards, but with the release of Raging Battle came more support cards for this Type in the form of cards like "Deep-Sea Diva" and "Sea Archer". Many new Sea Serpent strategies revolve around summoning low level monsters from the deck and the manipulation of low-level monsters, like the aforementioned Fish, except Sea Serpents are more based around gaining attack through using low level monsters (specifically, Level 3 and lower).
