Mako's father's monument
Mako's father's monument or grave in the Japanese version, is a structure in the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime, erected in honor of Mako Tsunami's father who had disappeared at sea.
The monument is made up of a vertical piece of wood, encircled with stones, and a metal vessel for holding flowers.
Events[edit]
After Mako's father's disappearance a grave was built from him on a cliff overlooking the ocean, as per his wishes. For some time, Mako visited the monument every day, in the hopes that his father would come home yelling "How dare you build my grave!".
(In the English dub, the possibility that Mako's father may have died is not considered. The monument is not described as a grave and was built to help guide him home.)
