Hanasaki, Tomoya

Tomoya Hanasaki, known in the English version of the Dungeon Dice Monsters video game as Lint Greendale, is a friend of Yugi's, who is obsessed with American superhero comics, particularly Zombire.

Hanasaki and his parents all look alike and share a Zombire obsession.

Biography

Introduction to Zombire

Hanasaki spend some time in hospital. When his father came to visit, he gave Tomoya a Zombire figure, telling him that this is Zombire and he's the strongest hero in America. Holding the figure, Hanasaki said he felt stronger too.[1]

His father was delighted to hear this and promised to bring him more Zombire toys and figures every time he came home from America.[1]

Hard Beat

Hanasaki is bullied by Sozoji into selling tickets to his concert. Sozoji is unable to sell any as Sozoji is a poor singer. He tries asking Yugi to buy one and finds Yugi has also been asked to sell them. Rather than have both of them burdened, Yugi takes Hanasaki's tickets, saying he'll try to sell them himself. Sozoji sees the exchange and beats-up Hanasaki.[2]

Yugi arrives at the concert, not having sold any tickets. Sozoji shows him Hanasaki, beaten-up. Yugi apologizes, but Hanasaki says he doesn't need to and that getting beaten-up was his divine punishment for trying to sell Yugi the ticket earlier. Dark Yugi then emerges to punish Sozoji for what he did to Yugi and Hanasaki by defeating him in a Shadow Game.[2]

Into the Fire

As class B come up with ideas for their attraction at the school festival, Hanasaki suggests that they have a comedy manga dojo (gag manga in the English version). The rest of the class all look at him funny and he bows his head in embarrassment.[3]

American Hero

Hanasaki as "Zombire"

After showing Yugi, Jonouchi, Anzu and Honda a Zombire comic in school, he invites them over to his house to show them his Zombire collection.[1]

During the visit, Hanasaki's father returned home and gave Tomoya a Zombire costume.[1]

After his friends left, Hanasaki put on the costume and went outside. His father spotted him and payed some thugs to fake a crime scene and allow Hanasaki to break it up.[1]

"Thug A" and "Thug B" pretended to be beating-up "Thug C" in front of Hanasaki. Hanasaki initially considered staying out of it, but thought Zombire wouldn't do such a thing. He approached the attackers and demanded that they leave the victim alone. The two proceed to attack Hanasaki in turn. He flinches each time, but fins the two guys fall back as if they’ve taken a powerful blow each time. The two thugs run away, and Hanasaki calls after them that he is Zombire.[1]

The next day at school, Hanasaki sees Thugs A and B at Yugi. He tells them to leave Yugi alone, although not wearing his costume. The thugs shrug and decide to leave.[1]

Later Hanasaki receives a message from the thugs saying they've kidnapped Yugi. Hanasaki puts on his costume and confronts the thugs. However this time, the thugs demanded more money than Hanasaki's father could afford, so the thugs proceeded to attack Hanasaki and tells him they had been paid last time. However Dark Yugi shows up and saves Hanasaki. As Dark Yugi escorts Hanasaki away, he tells him that he can still be a hero.[4]

Death-T

Hanasaki's last known appearance is during the Death-T story, when Jounouchi calls the hospital to check on Sugoroku Mutou.

Yu-Gi-Oh! GX

His name is mentioned in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX as one of Trueman's victims.[5]

Crest Pool

In the Dungeon Dice Monsters video game Lint's Crest Pool consists of assorted monsters.

As The Greendale Zompire, his Crest Pool consists of Warriors, Spellcasters, Zombies and Items.
