Torrey, known as Takadera (たかでら Takadera) in the Japanese version, is an Obelisk Blue student who used to attend Banner's Para-Dueling class.

Biography[edit]

Takadera Occult Brothers

After being told that duel spirits may come to life under certain conditions, Torrey and some of his friends (Isaka and Mukouda in the Japanese version; unnamed in the English version) tried to create those conditions and eventually successfully summoned the Duel Spirit Jinzo. Jinzo, however, eventually went after Torrey and his friends in order to be free. Torrey escaped and Jinzo ended up Dueling Jaden Yuki. When Jinzo's own card was destroyed during the Duel, its spirit possessed Torrey and attempted to finish the Duel. Despite this, Jinzo still lost, and Torrey returned to normal afterwards.

He and his friends made a cameo in episode 179 watching Jaden's Graduation ceremony.
