Guardian Baou is the fifth and final Duelist of Death and is the only remaining one of them after The Supreme King's downfall as well as the only Duelist of Death that isn't a Spellcaster-type, not counting Demise, King of Armageddon, as he was primarily a Duelist of Death as Skilled Dark Magician and Skilled White Magician. He is also the weakest one in terms of card stats at a mere 800 Attack and 400 Defense.

Baou later reappears when Jaden loses his ability to use Fusion Summoning cards. He decides to duel Jaden in order to succeed the Supreme King, but is defeated.
