Aqua monsters are usually represented by beings that have power over water or ice, such as "[[Maiden of the Aqua]]" and "[[Mobius the Frost Monarch]]", or creatures whose bodies are composed almost entirely of those substances, such as "[[Humanoid Slime]]" and "[[Freezing Beast]]". They may also represent aquatic or amphibious creatures that do not fall under the category of [[Fish]] or [[Sea Serpent]] monsters, such as "[[Penguin Soldier]]" and "[[Toadally Awesome]]". Most Aqua monsters are [[WATER]] monsters, though Aqua monsters for each of the five other primary [[Attribute]]s do exist.

Toadally Awesome
"Toadally Awesome", an Aqua monster.

Aqua (みず Mizu "Water") is a Type of Monster Card. It first debuted in Vol.1 in the OCG, Legend of Blue Eyes White Dragon in the TCG, and Deck Mod Pack: Hyperspeed Rush Road!! in Rush Duel.

Overview[edit]

Aqua monsters are usually represented by beings that have power over water or ice, such as "Maiden of the Aqua" and "Mobius the Frost Monarch", or creatures whose bodies are composed almost entirely of those substances, such as "Humanoid Slime" and "Freezing Beast". They may also represent aquatic or amphibious creatures that do not fall under the category of Fish or Sea Serpent monsters, such as "Penguin Soldier" and "Toadally Awesome". Most Aqua monsters are WATER monsters, though Aqua monsters for each of the five other primary Attributes do exist.

The effects of Aqua monsters are varied, but many focus on supporting Control playstyles, such as by moving monsters away from the field, changing battle positions, or discarding cards from the opponent's hand. Many Aqua monsters also have a recursion effect to help in a resource grind game.
