Alignment, also known as Summon (召喚 Shōkan), is a card property used in the early Gameboy Duel Monsters rules. Alignments appear in Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters II: Dark duel Stories, Yu-Gi-Oh! Dark Duel Stories, Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters 4: Battle of Great Duelist, Yu-Gi-Oh! The Sacred Cards, Yu-Gi-Oh! Reshef of Destruction, and Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories.

The name "Summon" is used consistently throughout the Japanese games. The North American English Dark Duel Stories uses the name "Alignment". The European English Dark Duel Stories uses the name "Attribute". The English The Sacred Cards and Reshef of Destruction use the name "Summon".
