Overview
The Beast Type consists of various wild animals or animalistic monsters. Just like with Insects and Plants, they come in many shapes and forms, ranging from those closely resembling what can be found in real life (such as "Wolf" and "Rescue Cat") to fantastical (such as "Interplanetarypurplythorny Beast" and "King of the Beasts"). Beast monsters are typically EARTH or LIGHT Attribute, although each of the six primary Attributes in the game contain Beast monsters.
Beast monsters come in many different play styles throughout the history of the game, with many Beast-centric archetypes and series focusing on doing different things. However, a number of general Beast support cards generally focus on swarming, with effects that add or Special Summon Beast monsters from other locations, as well as a number of standalone high-Level Beast monsters having the ability to Special Summon themselves through their own effects under specific circumstances. Certain cards also give blanket support toward Beast, Beast-Warrior and Winged Beast as a whole.
