Quetzalcoatl

Quetzalcoatl is a god in Aztec mythology. His name comes from the Nahuatl language and means "feathered-serpent". In the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's anime, Greiger, Annie and Max worship him and believe he watches over the Nazca region.[1]

Appearances[edit]

Greiger, Annie and Max carved an image of Quetzalcoatl on the Earthbound Immortal Shrine, believing he would protect the structure and guide them.[1]

A tablet featuring Quetzalcoatl on the shrine.

Max considers Jack Atlas to be like Quetzalcoatl, as they are both cool and strong. He thinks of Jack when he looks at the carving.[1]

It is suggested that Quetzalcoatl is the Crimson Dragon. Quetzalcoatl's tablet shines red before the Dragon appears to help Jack, and is the only part of the shrine left intact when it collapses. The tablet seems to face the direction the Crimson Dragon flies away in.[2]
