These are icons used to represent the Spellcaster Type in various video games. They mostly depict a shadowed humanoid wearing either a pointed hat or a cowl, often with a staff. While these are traits often associated with spellcasters in fantasy media in general, there is an interesting resemblance to the appearance of Black Mages in the ''Final Fantasy'' video game franchise, such as in the original ''Final Fantasy'' or in ''Final Fantasy IX''.
