Ra transformed into Egyptian God Phoenix

Egyptian God Phoenix (or "The Winged Dragon of Ra's" "Phoenix Mode") is one of three forms of "The Winged Dragon of Ra". It can only achieve this form if it Special Summoned from the Graveyard. In this form, neither "The Winged Dragon of Ra" nor its controller receives Battle Damage. It is feasible to say that "The Winged Dragon of Ra", while in this mode, is "immortal" since an Egyptian God is immune to most card's effect in the anime. The most well-known effect of "The Winged Dragon of Ra's" Phoenix Mode is that any monster it battles with will be destroyed at the Cost of 1000 Life Points. This effect was used on Joey's "Gilford the Lightning" by Marik and again on Yugi's "Slifer the Sky Dragon" and "Obelisk the Tormentor" once again by Marik. "The Winged Dragon of Ra" may only remain in this mode for one turn, after which it goes back to the Graveyard.

This effect was also used on Jaden in Yu-Gi-Oh GX by Franz. This time, "The Winged Dragon of Ra" wasn't Special Summoned from the graveyard and "Egyptian God Phoenix" destroyed all of Jaden's monsters. It then reversed right away to it's original mode and proceeded with a direct attack, hinting that "Egyptian God Phoenix"'s effect is not considered an attack, nor does "The Winged Dragon of Ra" stays in that mode for an entire turn in this series.
