While dining with the Signers, he enjoys Trudge's stew. The meal is interrupted by the appearance of the Dark Signer, Roman Goodwin.[1]
Yusei orders Jack to take the children to safety while he duels Roman. However John, along with Taka and Mitch stay back to se if they can get revenge on the Dark Signers for what they did to Crow.[1]
John and Mitch get separated from Taka and get close to Yusei's Duel.[1] However Roman Summons his Earthbound Immortal, nearly sacrificing John and Mitch in the process. However Jack appears and forms a protection bubble using his Signer powers, thus saving them.[2]
