Admiral |
The Admiral, known as Anacis in the Japanese version, is a man who travels the sea in a submarine and docks at Duel Academy. Arrogant and ambitious, he believes that everything (and everyone) in the world can be bought with money.

Voices/Mannerisms
In the English dub, the Admiral speaks in a stereotypical pirate voice, using phrases such as "Shiver me timbers!", in addition to making references to "doubloons" and "booty", to the confusion of several characters. In the original version, he ends his sentences with cchuu, roughly equating to "I say."
Appearances
Yu-Gi-Oh! GX
The Admiral challenges Jaden to a Duel, the latter at first thinking he was a Shadow Rider because the microphone feedback obscured Umi no Duel (Duel of the Sea) into Yami no Duel (Duel of Darkness) and due to his interest in the Sacred Beasts. Halfway through their Duel, the Admiral offers Jaden a position in his new Duel Academy under the sea. When Jaden rejects the offer, he places a bet on the outcome of the Duel. Even though he ultimately loses, the Admiral kidnaps Jaden, who isn't seen until three days later (in the dub, it was one week), riding on a motorboat and claiming to have escaped when the Admiral wasn't looking.
Spirit Caller
The Admiral docks his submarine at the Harbor every Saturday after the Interscholastic Duel with North Academy, and he can be found around the Red and Yellow Dorms.
