• In Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel 10: "The Cards with Teeth (Part 2)", Dark Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Seto Kaiba. Yugi activates this card to Special Summon "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" from Kaiba's Graveyard.

Duelist Kingdom

• In Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel 117 (Duelist Duel 58): "Running on the Edge!", Dark Yugi and Mai both use this card during their Duel against each other. Yugi uses this card to Special Summon "Gaia the Fierce Knight" from his Graveyard. Mai uses this card to Special Summon "Harpie's Pet Dragon" from her Graveyard.

Battle City

• In Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel 148 (Duelist Duel 89): "The God of the Obelisk", this can be seen in Kaiba's hand during his Duel against the Duel Machine.
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel 162 (Duelist Duel 103): "Magic vs. Magic", Dark Yugi and Pandora both use this card during their Duel against each other. When their "Dark Magicians" both destroyed each other in, both Duelists use this card to revive their own "Dark Magicians".

Tournament Finals

• In Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel 248 (Duelist Duel 189): "God's Third Power!", Dark Marik uses this card during his Duel against Jonouchi. Dark Marik activates this card to Special Summon "The Sun Dragon Ra" in "God Phoenix" mode.
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel 258 (Duelist Duel 199): "The Servants Surpass God", Dark Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Seto Kaiba. Yugi activates this card to Special Summon his "Dark Magician" from his Graveyard. During the next chapter, Kaiba uses "Magical Trick Mirror" to use this card from Yugi's Graveyard to temporarily revive his "The God of the Obelisk".
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel 261 (Duelist Duel 202): "Beyond Hatred", Seto Kaiba uses this card during his Duel against Dark Yugi. Kaiba activates this card to to Special Summon "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" from his Graveyard. Yugi then uses his Set "Double Spell" to use this card as if it was his to Special Summon "Buster Blader" from his Graveyard..
• Marik uses this many times to revive his "The Sun Dragon Ra" multiple times in his Duel against Yugi. The first time was with his "Revival of the Dark" to use Marik's "Monster Reborn", which Yugi had placed in his Graveyard, from Yugi's Graveyard to revive "The Sun Dragon Ra" in "Egyptian God Phoenix" mode to destroy Yugi's "Slifer the Sky Dragon". He then used "Zombie's Jewel" to add it back to his hand and revive "Ra" using One Turn Kill as well as let Yugi draw one card. Marik later uses "Magical Stone Excavation" to add "Monster Reborn" back to his hand, and revive "Ra" in it God Phoenix mode, but Yugi used his own "Monster Reborn" to revive "Slifer" to protect his "The God of the Obelisk" from "Ra".

King's Memories

• In Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel 327 (Millennium World Duel 49): "I Won't Give Up!!", this card was one of the cards Yugi Muto discarded via the effect of Dark Bakura's "All Killing Death Card" during their Duel.
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel 342 (Millennium World Duel 64): "The Last Gamble!!", Yugi Muto uses this card during his Duel against Atem. Yugi seals this card in "Gold Sarcophagus". In the next chapter, Atem activates this card, reviving "Slifer the Sky Dragon", but Yugi reveals that he had sealed this card in "Gold Sarcophagus", negating this card's effect.

• In Yu-Gi-Oh! R Duel Round 10: "A World Ruled by Terror!!", Dark Yugi uses this card against Yako Tenma. He Special Summons "The Sun Dragon Ra", but Yako uses "The Selection" to negate the Summon as he controls a Divine-Beast Type monster himself.
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! R Duel Round 42: "God vs. Evil God!!", Yugi uses this card against Yako, reviving "The God of the Obelisk".

• In Yu-Gi-Oh! GX chapter 45: "King Atticus's True Power!!", Atticus Rhodes uses this card against James Crocodile Cook to Special Summon "Transform Sphere" from his Graveyard.

• In Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Ride 46: "Father Against Son!!", Jack Atlas uses this card against Rex Goodwin to Special Summon his "Jeweled Red Dragon Archfiend".

• In Yu-Gi-Oh! (Toei) episode 02020: "Come Out!! The Strongest and Final Trump Card", Dark Yugi uses this card against Daimon to revive Daimon's "Fairy Olpheir", which he used in combination with "Flute of Light" to defeat Daimon's "Zombie Master".

Yu-Gi-Oh!

Duelist Kingdom

• This card was known as "Reborn the Monster" in the first twenty-seven episodes of the dub. After that, this card went by its proper TCG name.
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 01010: "Give up the Ghost", Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against the Impersonator of Death. He uses this card to revive one of the two "Blue-Eyes White Dragons" in the impersonator's Graveyard under his control.
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 01313: "Evil Spirit of the Ring", Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Yami Bakura. He uses this card to revive "Cyber Commander" (which contained Tristan Taylor's soul at the time). Later Yami Yugi Flips "Magician of Faith" (that contained Téa Gardner's soul at the time) face-up in order to activate its Flip Effect, allowing Yami Yugi to return this card from his Graveyard to his hand. Yami Yugi then uses this card to revive "Flame Swordsman" (which contained Joey Wheeler's soul at the time), which saves Joey from being destroyed by the "Reaper of the Cards" spirit.
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 02121: "Double Trouble Duel, Part 3", Yami Yugi uses this card during his Tag Duel with Joey Wheeler against the Paradox Brothers. He uses this card to revive Dox's "Suijin" under his control.
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 02424: "Face Off, Part 3", Seto Kaiba uses this card during his Duel against Yami Yugi. He uses this card to revive his "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" as a third head for his "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon" (which had its ATK reduced down to 900 thanks to the combo involving "Mammoth Graveyard", "Polymerization" and "Living Arrow").
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 02727: "Champion vs. Creator, Part 2", Kaiba uses this card during his Duel against Maximillion Pegasus. He uses this card to revive "Saggi the Dark Clown". This was the only move Kaiba could make due to "Crush Card" obliterating all of the cards in his Deck except this card.
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 03030: "Duel Identity, Part 2", Yami Yugi and Mai Valentine both use this card during their Duel against each other. Mai uses her copy to revive "Harpie's Pet Dragon". Later Yugi uses his own copy to revive "Gaia The Fierce Knight".
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 03333: "Best of Friends, Best of Duelists, Part 1", this card appears when Yami Yugi explains to Joey that Duel Monsters is about the balance between Monster, Spell and Trap Cards.
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 03434: "Best of Friends, Best of Duelists, Part 2", Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Joey. He uses this card to revive Joey's "Black Skull Dragon" under his control.
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 04242: "The Ties of Friendship", Yugi Muto uses this card during his Duel against Rebecca Hawkins. He uses this card to revive "Dark Magician".

Battle City (part 1)

• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 05353: "Steppin' Out", this card appears on a poster that Yugi and Téa Gardner read when they find a game store that was selling Duel Monster cards.
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 05757: "Yugi vs. The Rare Hunter, Part 2", Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Seeker. He uses this card to revive "Chimera the Flying Mythical Beast".
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 06161: "The Master of Magicians, Part 2", Yami Yugi and Arkana both use this card during their Duel against each another. Both players use this card to revive their respective "Dark Magicians" after both "Dark Magicians" were destroyed in a Double KO.
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 06767: "Mime Control, Part 3", Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Strings while the latter was possessed by Marik Ishtar. He uses this card to revive "Buster Blader". This activates the effect of "Card of Safe Return", allowing Strings to draw three cards. This also activates the second mouth effect of "Slifer the Sky Dragon", decreasing the ATK of "Buster Blader" by 2000.
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 07070: "Double Duel, Part 1", this card was shown in Kaiba's hand during his Tag Duel with Yami Yugi against Lumis and Umbra. In the next episode, Kaiba activates this card to revive his "Blue-Eyes White Dragon".
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 08383: "The Dark Spirit Revealed, Part 2", Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Yami Bakura. He uses this card to revive Bakura's "Dark Necrofear" under his control. This cancels out Bakura's "Dark Sanctuary" since "Dark Necrofear" was no longer in Bakura's Graveyard.
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 08585: "Rage of the Egyptian Gods", this card can be seen when Yugi is rebuilding his Deck.
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 08787: "Awakening of Evil, Part 2", Joey Wheeler uses this card during his Duel against Odion. He uses this card to revive his "Alligator's Sword".
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 09393: "A Duel with Destiny, Part 1", this card is shown in Ishizu Ishtar's hand during her Duel against Seto Kaiba. She is forced to discard this card and "Spell Reproduction" from her hand via "Michizure of Doom". In the next episode, this card is shown in Ishizu's Graveyard as "Exchange of the Spirit" swaps the cards in both players' Decks with the cards in their Graveyards.
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 09696: "Showdown in the Shadows, Part 1", this card is shown in Yami Bakura's hand during his Duel against Yami Marik. Yami Marik takes this card from Yami Bakura's hand via the effect of Yami Bakura's "Exchange". In the next episode, Marik activates this card to revive "The Winged Dragon of Ra".
  • In the second above-mentioned episode, this card appears in Kaiba's thoughts when he learns that most Trap Cards don't work on the Egyptian God Cards and that Spell Cards affect them for only one turn.

Virtual World

• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 09999: "Isolated in Cyber Space, Part 1", this card appears when Yami Yugi was building his Virtual World Deck for his Duel against Gansley.
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 102102: "Freeze Play, Part 1", this card can be seen when Téa Gardner was building her Virtual World Deck for her Duel against Crump.
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 103103: "Freeze Play, Part 2", this card appears in a flashback Téa has when she remembers Yugi talking about "Maha Vailo" looking similar to him and having a great power inside its effect.
  • This card also appears in a flashback Téa has when she remembers selecting "Sage's Stone" while building her Deck.
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 106106: "Mechanical Mayhem, Part 1", this card can be seen when Duke Devlin, Tristan Taylor, and Serenity Wheeler were building their Virtual World Decks for their Duel against Nezbitt.
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 108108: "Settling the Score, Part 1", this card can be seen when Seto Kaiba was building his Virtual World Deck for his Duel against Leichter.
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 109109: "Settling the Score, Part 2", this card appears in a flashback Leichter has when he explains to Seto that his treachery began when Gozaburo gave him a large amount of dollars to test Seto's business skills.
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 111111: "Merger of the Big Five, Part 1", this card is seen in the Big Five's hand during their Duel against Yugi and Joey. Crump intended to use this card to revive "The Legendary Fisherman" as part of his strategy to get the upper hand again (and also planned to activate "A Legendary Ocean" which would complete his plan on rebuilding the Big Five's previous combo). However Yugi thwarts Crump's strategy by activating "Card Destruction", which forces all players to discard their hand and redraw a new one.
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 118118: "Noah's Final Threat, Part 2", Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Noah Kaiba. He uses this card to revive Seto's "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" (as this was because this Duel was a continuation of Noah's Duel with Kaiba and Noah used "Shinato, King of a Higher Plane" to destroy "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" in battle as his winning move).
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 121121: "Burying the Past - Part 2", Kaiba uses this card during his Duel against Gozaburo Kaiba. He uses this card to revive "Ancient Lamp".

Battle City (part 2)

• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 127127: "The Darkness Returns - Part 3", Yami Marik uses this card during his Duel against Joey Wheeler. He uses this card to revive "The Winged Dragon of Ra".
• In episode 132, Yami Yugi and Seto Kaiba both use this card during their duel against each other. Yugi uses his copy to revive "Dark Magician". Later "Dark Magician" attacks "Lord of D.", but Seto activates "Magical Trick Mirror" to activate Yugi's copy as his card, allowing Kaiba to revive "Obelisk the Tormentor" and use to intercept the attack. This causes the attack to fail. Two episodes later, Kaiba activates his own copy to revive "Blue-Eyes White Dragon". After Kaiba activates "Polymerization" to fuse his three "Blue-Eyes White Dragons" together and Fusion Summon "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon", Yugi activates "Double Spell" to activate both Spell Cards that Kaiba activated this turn. Yugi first uses the effect of Kaiba's copy to revive "Buster Blader".
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 136136: "Battle for the Bronze - Part 2", Joey and Kaiba both use this card during their Duel against each other. Joey used his copy of this card to revive Kaiba's "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" (which Joey destroyed via "Enemy Controller" (which was used via "Graverobber")) under his control. Later Kaiba attacks "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" with another "Blue-Eyes White Dragon", destroying both monsters in a Double KO. Kaiba then activates his own copy of this card to revive one of the "Blue-Eyes White Dragons" that was destroyed.
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 138138: "The Final Face Off - Part 1", Yami Marik uses this card during his Duel against Yami Yugi. He adds this card from his Deck to his hand via "Left Arm Offering". Yugi then activates "Exchange" to take this card from Yami Marik. Yami Yugi then activates this card to revive "Queen's Knight". Later "Slifer the Sky Dragon" attacks directly, but Yami Marik activates "Dark Spell Regeneration" to activate this card from the Graveyard and revive "Ra". In the next episode, Marik activates "Zombie's Jewel" to add this card from the Graveyard to his hand. He then activates this card to revive "Ra" again. In the following episode, Marik activates "Mining for Magical Stones" to add this card from the Graveyard to his hand. In the next episode, Marik uses this card to revive "Ra" again. Yami Marik then activates the "Egyptian God Phoenix" effect of "Ra" to destroy "Obelisk the Tormentor", but Yugi activates his own copy of this card to revive "Slifer the Sky Dragon" and use it to intercept the effect, destroying "Slifer" and saving "Obelisk".
  • In the first above-mentioned episode, this card appears in a flashback Joey has when he remembers his Duel with Yami Marik and when he is explaining to his friends that Yami Marik just needs this card in order to bring "The Winged Dragon of Ra" out because many of its devastating effects can be activated when it's revived.

Waking the Dragons

• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 145145: "A New Evil - Part 1", Gurimo uses this card during his Duel against Yami Yugi. He uses this card to revive "Marauding Captain". In the next episode, Yugi uses his own copy of this card to revive "Valkyrion the Magna Warrior".
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 148148: "The Creator Returns", this card appears in Yugi's thoughts when Yami Yugi notes that although Pegasus no longer has the Millennium Eye, he was the chosen one and he was the creator of Duel Monsters.
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 150150: "Deja Duel! - Part 2", Seto Kaiba uses this card during his Duel against Alister. He uses this card to revive "Blue-Eyes White Dragon".
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 153153: "My Freaky Valentine - Part 2", this card is shown in Joey Wheeler's hand during his Duel against Mai Valentine. In the next episode, Joey activates this card to revive "The Fiend Megacyber".
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 159159: "Trial by Stone", this card is shown when Weevil Underwood and Rex Raptor are taken to a vault within Paradius's headquarters that contains copies of every card in existence (with the exception of the Legendary Dragons and the Egyptian Gods).
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 163163: "Self Destruction", Yugi Muto uses this card during his Duel against Yami Yugi. He uses this card to revive "Dark Magician Girl". In the same Duel, this card is shown in Yami Yugi's hand, but he discards it due to the effect of "Card Destruction".
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 166166: "Flight of Fear - Part 1", Kaiba uses this card during his Duel against Alister. He uses this card to revive "Y-Dragon Head".
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 171171: "Fighting for a Friend - Part 3", Joey and Valon both use this card during their Duel against each other. Joey uses this card to revive "Rocket Warrior". Later, Valon uses his own copy to revive "Buster Pyle". Joey, in response, activates "Scapegoat" to summon four Sheep Tokens. The effect of "Lord of the Red" then activates, destroying all other monsters on the field.
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 172172: "Fighting for a Friend - Part 4", this card is shown in Mai's hand during her Duel against Joey. In the next episode, Mai activates this card to revive one of her "Cyber Harpies".
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 174174: "Grappling with a Guardian - Part 1", Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Rafael. He uses this card to revive "Queen's Knight". In the next episode, Yami Yugi activates the effect of "Amulet Dragon" to banish all Spell Cards from his Graveyard and increase its ATK by 300 for each Spell Card banished this way. In the following episode, Rafael discards this card in order to activate "Orichalcos Sword of Sealing". Later Yami Yugi activates "Spider Web" to take Rafael's copy and add it to his hand. Yami Yugi then activates Rafael's copy in order to revive "Guardian Eatos".
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 183183: "Rise of the Great Beast - Part 1", this card appears in a flashback that Rafael has while trapped within the Great Leviathan when he remembers seeing his family's graves and Yami Yugi using this card to revive "Guardian Eatos".

Grand Championship

• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 195195: "One Step Ahead - Part 2", Kaiba uses this card during his Duel against Zigfried von Schroeder. He uses this card to revive "Blue-Eyes White Dragon".
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 198198: "Sinister Secrets - Part 3", Leon von Schroeder and Yami Yugi both use this card during their Duel against each other. Leon uses his copy to revive "Cinderella". This activates the latter's effect, allowing Leon to Special Summon "Pumpkin Carriage" from the Graveyard. Later Yugi activates his own copy to revive "Dark Magician".

Pharaoh's Memories

• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 200200: "Spiritual Awakening", Kaiba uses this card during his Duel against Yami Bakura. He uses this card to revive on of the two "Blue-Eyes White Dragons" in his Graveyard.
  • This card also appears within Kaiba's briefcase when he opens it up and takes his Duel Disk with him.

Battle Ritual

• In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 224224: "The Final Duel - Part 4", Yugi Muto and Yami Yugi both use this card during their Duel against each other. Yugi activates "Gold Sarcophagus" to banish this card from his Deck. Later Yami Yugi activates his copy to revive "Slifer the Sky Dragon" (whose ATK became 4000 due to Yami having four cards in his hand) as part of his final winning move. Yugi then activates the effect of "Gold Sarcophagus" to reveal the card he banished. To Yami Yugi's shock, the banished card was this card. Due to the effect of "Gold Sarcophagus", the effect of Yami's copy is negated. This means that "Slifer the Sky Dragon" goes back to the Graveyard.
  • In the original, Ishizu Ishtar comments during the Duel that this card represents Yugi's final message to Yami Yugi: "The dead should not linger in the world of the living".

Seven Stars

• In Yu-Gi-Oh! GX episode 0011: "The Next King of Games", this card was shown in Jaden Yuki's hand during his Duel against Vellian Crowler. Dr. Crowler later activates "Confiscation" to send this card from Jaden's hand to the Graveyard.
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! GX episode 0022: "Welcome to Duel Academy", Jaden Yuki tries to activate this card during his Duel against Chazz Princeton, but he never got the chance to do so. Jaden had intended to use this card to revive "Elemental Hero Flame Wingman" as part of his winning move, but the Duel ends prematurely due to external influences. Jaden later revealed to Alexis Rhodes that this card was the card he drew on the last turn of the Duel.
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! GX episode 0033: "A Duel In Love", Jaden uses this card during his Duel against Alexis Rhodes. He uses this card to revive "Elemental Hero Sparkman".
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! GX episode 0044: "Raring To Go", Syrus Truesdale is shown wearing three copies of this card on his headband while he was praying to "Slifer the Sky Dragon" to do well in a test. Another copy of this card was shown on the table that Syrus was kneeling in front of.
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! GX episode 0088: "For the Sake of Syrus", Zane Truesdale uses this card during his Duel against Jaden. He uses this card to revive "Cyber Dragon".
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! GX episode 01010: "Tag Team Trial, Part 1", Para uses this card during his Tag Duel with Dox against Jaden and Syrus. He uses this card to revive "Jirai Gumo".
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! GX episode 02020: "The Maiden in Love", this card appears when Blair Flannigan drops Zane's Deck.
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! GX episode 02121: "The Duel Off, Part 1", this card can be seen when Jaden rebuilds his Deck.

Society of Light

• In Yu-Gi-Oh! GX episode 06666: "Going Bananas", this card appears in a flashback Jaden has when he sees Wheeler as Zane which makes Jaden remember his first Duel against Zane.
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! GX episode 08585: "Rah, Rah, Ra!", Franz draws this card during his Duel against Jaden. He draws this card via the effect of Jaden's "Neo-Spacian Glow Moss". This would mean that the attack made by "Glow Moss" attack can be changed to a direct attack, however Franz activates "De-Fusion" to separate himself from "Ra", decrease the ATK and DEF of "Ra" to 0, and increase his Life Points by the ATK of "Ra". "Glow Moss" then attacks and destroys "The Winged Dragon of Ra". After "Elemental Hero Neos" attacks directly, Franz had intended to activate this card on his next turn in order to Special Summon "Ra" from his Graveyard and win the Duel. Franz never got the chance to do so as Jaden defeated Franz before that could happen.

Dimension World

• In Yu-Gi-Oh! GX episode 156156: "Judai Revived!? A Brand New Journey", this card is shown in a flashback Alexis has when remembers her first Duel against Jaden and notes that even when he had a few Life Points and no monsters on his side of the field, he believed in the strength of his draws and stood tall.
  • This card is also shown in a flashback Alexis has when she reveals to Chazz that although he believed he had Jaden completely cornered during their first Duel, he (Chazz) might not have actually won. Alexis then reveals that the card Jaden drew before the Duel got called off was this card and Jaden was going to use it to revive "Flame Wingman" and win the Duel. Chazz got mad at this revelation and demanded Jaden to come back, so he can defeat him (as initially he didn't care about Jaden not coming back).

Pre-World Duel Carnival

• In Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL episode 0011: "Go With the Flow, Part 1", this card is shown on Yuma Tsukumo's Deck at the beginning of the episode when he gathers up his cards before leaving.

• In Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL episode 0022: "Go With the Flow, Part 2", Yuma uses this card during his Duel against Shark. He uses this card to revive "Gagaga Magician".

• In Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL episode 01010: "Shark Attack", Yuma uses this card during his Duel against Shark. He uses this card to revive "Gogogo Golem".
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL episode 01212: "The Pack, Part 2", Yuma uses this card during his Tag-Team Duel with Shark against Scorch and Chills. Yuma almost considers reviving "Number 39: Utopia" with this card, however Yuma remembers Astral told him this card can revive a monster in either player's Graveyard, so he uses this card to revive Shark's "Black Ray Lancer" under his control.
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL episode 01414: "The Number Hunter, Part 2", during Yuma's Duel against Kite Tenjo, this card appears in Yuma's Deck as part of the effect of "Monster Slots".
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL episode 02020: "Roots of the Problem", Bronk Stone uses this card during his Duel against Number 96 while the latter was using Yuma's Deck. He uses this card to revive "Number 39: Utopia".
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL episode 02121: "Battle with the Bot", this card is shown when Lillybot spits out cards that are part of her Deck and places them in her D-Pad.

World Duel Carnival

• In Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL episode 02727: "A Team Performance", Yuma uses this card during his Duel against Striker Crossit. He uses this card to revive "Gogogo Golem".
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL episode 03232: "Life is a Carnival: Part 2", this card can be seen on the bottom of Charlie McCay's Deck during his Duel against Yuma.
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL episode 04343: "The Dragon Awakens", Yuma uses this card during his Tag Duel with Kite against Quattro and Trey. He uses this card to revive "Number 39: Utopia".
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL episode 04444: "Rock and a Hard Place", this card is shown when Yuma is rebuilding his Deck.

Barian Invasion

• In Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL episode 07777: "Rule Duel", Yuma uses this card during his Duel against Carlyle Chesterton while the latter was possessed by the Barians. He uses this card to revive Carlyle's "Tamagushi the Righteous" under his control. After the third turn ends, Carlyle tried to get Caswell Francis (who was refereeing the Duel) to negate this card's effect since Yuma "stole" his monster and stealing is against the rules, however Caswell found this (along with Carlyle telling him to negate the effect of "Tatakawa Knight" for being an act of school violence) unreasonable and, after being convinced by Yuma, ceases to be referee and lets the Duel be a normal Duel).
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL episode 07979: "Doom in Bloom", Rio Kastle uses this card during her Duel against Lotus Hanazoe while the latter was possessed by the Barians. She uses this card to revive "Blizzard Falcon".
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL episode 08080: "Rivals in the Ring", Yuma uses this card during his Duel against Alito. He uses this card to revive "Gagaga Magician".
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL episode 08181: "The Friendship Games", Yuma uses this card during his Tag Duel with Girag against Tori Meadows and Cathy Katherine while the latter two were possessed by the Barians. He uses this card to revive "Gagaga Magician".
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL episode 08282: "Sphere Cube Calamity: Part 1", this card appears when Yuma is rearranging his Deck.
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL episode 08383: "Sphere Cube Calamity: Part 2", Kite and Mizar both use this card during their Duel against each other. Kite uses his copy to revive "Photon Thrasher". Later Mizar uses his copy to revive "Number 107: Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon".
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL episode 08989: "Darkness Dawns", the Shadow Giant and Yuma both use this card during their duel against each other. The Shadow Giant uses his copy to revive "Bubble Breeder". Later, Yuma uses his copy to revive "Ganbara Lancer"
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL episode 09191: "Take a Chance", this card appears in a flashback Shark has when he explains to Rio if he hadn't told her what cards to use ever since the first time they started dueling, Rio couldn't do anything. This card was shown to be part of Rio's childhood Deck.

Mythyrian Numbers War

• In Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL episode 103103: "Barian Vengeance: Part 1", this card appears in Nistro's explanation to Yuma and his friends that Dueling was the one thing that shone through for him and Dextra.
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL episode 107107: "Furry Fury", Yuma uses this card during his Duel against Ponta while the latter was in Girag's body. Ponta, while possessing Yuma's body, uses this card to revive "Toy Knight"
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL episode 109109: "A Sea of Troubles: Part 2", Shark uses this card during his Duel against Abyss. He uses this card to revive "Black Ray Lancer".
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL episode 112112: "Memory Thief: Part 1", this card is shown on Yuma's desk as he mourns the loss of Astral.
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL episode 116116: "Now or Never, Part 1", this card appears in a series of flashbacks Trey has when he explains that the reason Yuma repeatedly visits the places from his memories is because Yuma always believes that he will one day meet Astral again.

• In Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL episode 127127: "Settling the Score, Part 1", Quinton uses this card during his Tag-Team Duel with Trey against Mizar. He uses this card to revive "Deep-Space Cruiser IX".

• In Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V episode 0011: "Swing Into Action: Part 1", this card appears on an advertisement for Leo Institute of Dueling featuring The Sledgehammer.

Friendship Cup

• In Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V episode 07171: "Duel Consequences", Officer 227 uses this card in his duel against Yuya Sakaki. He activates it, targeting "Goyo Predator" in his Graveyard, Special Summon it, then has it attack Yuya's "Performapal Bot-Eyes Lizard".

Friendship Cup Finals

• In Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V episode 07979: "Road To Rebellion", Yuya Sakaki uses this card in his duel against Shinji Weber. He activates it to revive "Tuning Magician" and use her with "Performapal Silver Claw" and "Timebreaker Magician" to Synchro Summon "Enlightenment Paladin".

Heartland City

• In Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V episode 108108: "Twins with Tudes", Yuya Sakaki uses this card in his tag duel with Shay Obsidian against the Tyler sisters. He activates it to revive Shay's "Raidraptor - Singing Lanius" and overlays it "Xiangsheng Magician" to Xyz Summon "Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon".

Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS

In this series, "Monster Reborn" also serves as a plot device, known in-universe as a "forbidden card" that can turn the tides of a duel; additionally, when a certain chant is spelled after resolving its effect, its user can manipulate the memories of their opponents, as used by Yuo Goha to seal Yuga Goha's personality and turn him into "Swirly", and later by the freed Yuga against Yuo to seal his scheming personality and dueling knowledge.

History

• During his days working in the Development Department of Goha Enterprises, Otes created this card for the purpose of igniting courage within the hearts of meek Duelists. At some point after this, this card's power was used on Yuga Goha, sealing his meeker personality and all his memories related to it, and amplifying his fiercer side.
• At some point between the previous incident and the present, Yuga Goha had printed the card using the Duel Card Manufacturer under Goha Enterprises HQ in hopes of using its forbidden power, but was stopped by Yuo when he unexpectedly printed his own copy and used it to seal Yuga's fiercer personality away.

Goha Employee

• In Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS episode 07474: "Rush Ghoul", Nana Nanahoshi used this card in her off-screen Duel against "Swirls", in an attempt to unseal Yuga Goha. However, she failed to completely do so because she didn't know of the chant necessary to release the seal, and only managed to made Swirly gone feral instead.
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS episode 07777: "Monster Reborn!", the Goha siblings Yuo and Yuga both use this card in their Rush Duel against each other. Yuo activates it to Special Summon "Mechaleon" from Yuga's Graveyard, and uses its power to fully unseal Yuga's original personality from Swirls' body. Yuga activates it to Special Summon "Imaginary Actor" from Yuo's Graveyard and uses its power to seal Yuo's scheming personality and Dueling knowledge.
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS episode 07878: "Yuga vs. Yuga", Yuga Goha uses this card in his off-screen Duels against Scoop Pitman, Yosh Imimi, Sushiko Maki, Saburamen and Briscoe, sealing away their memories of Yuga Ohdo and his friends, and of Rush Dueling.
• In Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS episode 07979: "Counting Cards", Yuga Goha uses this card in his Rush Duel against Luke, who replaced the unconscious Yuga Ohdo. He activates it to Special Summon "Sevens Road Magician" from Luke's Graveyard and uses its power to seal the memories of Luke, Gavin Sogetsu, Romin Kassidy, Roa Kassidy, Nail Saionji and Asana Mutsuba in regards to Rush Dueling, although Luke and Roa managed to resist the spell due to knowing and connecting with Yuga prior to the invention of Rush Dueling.

King of Duels

• In Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS episode 08181: "Mindwiped", Yuga Goha uses this card in his Rush Duel against Otes. He activates it to Special Summon "Dark Magician" from Otes' Graveyard. At the end of the episode, all three copies of "Monster Reborn" known to exist (Yuga Goha's, Yuo's and Nana's) are destroyed by Yuga Goha and Nana.

Films

Yu-Gi-Oh! The Movie: Pyramid of Light

• Maximillion Pegasus and Kaiba both use this card during their Duel against each other. Kaiba was forced to discard this card via the effect of "Toon-Gemini Elf". Later Pegasus uses his copy to revive "Toon-Gemini Elf".
• Yami Yugi and Kaiba both use this card during their Duel against each other. Yami Yugi uses this card to revive "Dark Magician Girl". Later Kaiba uses his copy to revive "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon". Later Yami Yugi activates "Double Spell" to activate Kaiba's copy of this card from the Graveyard and revive "Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon" under his control.

Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions

• This card first appears in a flashback in which Yugi reflects on the Rite of the Duel, remembering himself sealing "Monster Reborn" in "Gold Sarcophagus", Atem walking through the Doorway to the Underworld and the Millennium Items falling into the depths of the Earth.
• Yugi Muto uses this card during his Duel against Seto Kaiba. Yugi gives this card to Kaiba to activate the effect of "Magical Contract Door", allowing him to add a monster from his Deck to his hand. Later, Kaiba sends this card to the Graveyard to activate the effect of his "High Speed Aria", intending to Special Summon his "Deep-Eyes White Dragon" from the Graveyard, however, Yugi activates "Final Geas" in response to banish all monsters in both Graveyards.

Scripted Duels

• In North American WCQ 2011 Special: Yugi vs. Yusei, Yugi activates this card to Special Summon "Buster Blader", which had been discarded by "Graceful Charity".
• In YCS Providence 2012 Special: Mai, Joey and Yugi vs. Pegasus and Bakura, Maximillion Pegasus uses this card against Yugi. He activates this to Special Summon Yugi's "Summoned Skull", which had been discarded by "Graceful Charity". The next turn, Yugi activates his own copy to Special Summon his "Dark Magician Girl", which had been discarded by "Graceful Charity".
• In North American WCQ 2012 Special: Joey vs. Kaiba, Kaiba activates this card to Special Summon his "Alexandrite Dragon", which had been discarded by "Graceful Charity".
• In North American WCQ 2013 Special: Kaiba vs. Pegasus, Kaiba activates this card to Special Summon his "Luster Dragon #2", which had been discarded by "Graceful Charity".
• In World Championship 2013 Special: Mai vs. Yugi, Yugi activates this card to Special Summon his "Queen's Knight", which had been discarded by "Graceful Charity". The next turn, Mai activates her own copy to Special Summon her "Cyber Harpie Lady", which had been detached as an Xyz Material from "Harpie's Pet Phantasmal Dragon".
• In North American WCQ 2014 Special: Astral vs. Yugi, Yugi activates this card to Special Summon "Dark Magician", which had been destroyed by battle by Astral's "Number 39: Utopia".
• In North American WCQ 2015 Special: Marik vs. Pegasus, this card is in Pegasus' opening hand and is revealed when Marik activates "Royal Tribute" on the first turn. Later, Pegasus activates this card, Special Summoning "Toon Cyber Dragon", which was destroyed by battle last turn by Marik's "Gravekeeper's Assailant" (which had 2000 ATK due to the effect of Marik's "Necrovalley"), in Attack Position from his Graveyard.
• In the non-canon duel World Championship 2016 Special: Yugi vs. Kaiba, Yugi predicts that this card is the top card of his Deck after activating "The True Name", and is successful. He subsequently activates this card to Special Summon "Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning" from his Graveyard. This card is returned to his hand via the effect of "Dark Magician of Chaos", and activated again to Special Summon "Dark Magician" from the Graveyard.
