"God's Third Power!" (神 第3の能力!! Kami Dai San no Nōryoku!!) is the 248th chapter of the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga. In its first English printing, it was numbered as the 189th chapter of Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist. In the 3-in-1 edition, its number was changed to match the original Japanese printing.

Jonouchi Summons "Gilford the Lightning", forcing Dark Marik to re-evaluate his opponent and judge him worthy of facing God.

Featured Duel: Katsuya Jonouchi vs. Dark Marik[edit]

Duel continues from the previous chapter...

Turn 11: Jonouchi
As "Gilford the Lightning" was Tribute Summoned with three Tributes, its effect destroys all monsters Dark Marik controls. "Viser Des" is destroyed. "Gilford" attacks directly, but Dark Marik activates his Set Trap Card "Nightmare Mirror", negating the attack and inflicting 1000 damage to Jonouchi, but Dark Marik must also discard a card from his hand (Jonouchi: 2600 → 1600 LP). He discards "The Sun Dragon Ra".

Turn 12: Dark Marik
Dark Marik activates "Monster Reborn", Special Summoning one monster from the Graveyard. He Special Summons "The Sun Dragon Ra" (???/???) in Attack Position. Dark Marik activates the effect of "Ra", allowing it to attack the turn it was Special Summoned. He then activate the third effect of "Ra", transforming it into "God Phoenix".

Duel continues in the next chapter...
