"Than Curse the Darkness", titled "Light on the Living Darkness!!" (生なる闇に光を!! Seinaru Yami ni Hikari o!!) in the Japanese version, is the 276th chapter of the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga. In its first English printing, it was numbered as the 217th chapter of Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist. In the 3-in-1 edition, its number was changed to match the original Japanese printing.
Dark Yugi and Dark Marik conclude their Duel in the last round of the Battle City tournament. Dark Yugi defeats the "The Sun Dragon Ra". Marik, with his last Life Point, decides the outcome of the Duel.
Featured Duels: Dark Yugi VS Dark Marik[edit]
Turn 15: Dark Marik
"The Sun Dragon Ra" is destroyed by the combined attack from "Dark Magician" and "Dark Magician Girl" (enabled through the effect of "Dimension Magic"). This effectively destroys Dark Marik as well, since he is fused with Ra at the time. After the attack, "Dark Magician" and "Dark Magician Girl" are sent to the Graveyard. At this point, the original Marik is able to regain control of his body, with the evil Marik now as the sacrifice. Marik forfeits the Duel, automatically dropping his Life Points to 0 (Marik 1 → 0).
Yugi wins.
