Summary

At the Isolation Tower, Seto checks up on Kisara. The guards tell him that the doctors say she will recover with enough rest. Seto enters the chamber and stands over the sleeping woman. He vows the make The White Dragon his servant no matter what, even if it means killing her.

Inside the palace, the pharaoh senses something from the Millennium Pendent, which gives him a bad feeling. Two guards enter and inform him that several corpses have been found ripped to shreds in a nearby tavern. Those men were recently killed and Bakura is believed to be responsible.

At the Shrine of Wedju, Bakura, with Diabound towering behind him, has Akhenaden flung against a wall. Bakura notes that it would be easy to kill Akhenaden and take his Millennium Item right now. However he suggests that Akhenaden could work for him. Using the power of the Millennium Ring, Bakura could seal a piece of his soul in Akhenaden's Millennium Eye, making Akhenaden his pawn. Akhenaden refuses and attempts to summon a monster ka from a tablet. Diabound easily crushes it, before it fully emerges.

Bakura says that while he could tear Akhenaden limb for limb right now, it would not be sufficient revenge for what he did to Kul Elna. He asks Akhenaden if he can still hear the screams of the villagers and identifies himself as the sole survivor. Akhenaden's heart beat amplifies. Bakura declares that the city will drown in blood and Akhenaden will be the one to spill it, as ruler of the shadows.

A scream is heard coming from the Shrine of Wedju. The pharaoh rushes out and spots Bakura making his escape, with his hand covered in blood.

A soldier alerts Seto that something has happened to Akhenaden. While soldiers search the palace for Bakura, Kalim, Shada and Seto attend to Akhenaden. They confirm that he is alive, but judging by the blood around the Millennium Eye, they assume Bakura had tried to steal it, but left without it.

Bakura is spotted fleeing on horseback. A group of soldiers surround him, but have their limbs sliced off by Diabound. The pharaoh chases after Bakura on another horse and summons Slifer the Sky Dragon to assist him.
