This chapter was originally printed in the Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine in Japanese. Its first English release was in the Shonen Jump magazine. It has been reprinted in volume 7 of the tankōbon and volume 4 of the bunkoban.

*The game is "Monster World," a tabletop RPG.

*The board is Bakura's custom 10x20 setup, including a town, forest, and castle areas.

*The Dark Master (in this case Bakura) plays the monsters and the "boss" of the adventure. The adventurers (Yugi, Joey, Tristan, and Téa) try to defeat the Dark Master.

*Bakura used his computer to enter the character data.

*In areas where monsters appear, Bakura rolls two ten-sided dice, to get a number from 0 to 99. If the number is less than the probability of a monster appearing, a monster will appear. The monsters are stronger the lower the number rolled.

*If a player rolled a 99 (critical fumble), or Bakura rolled a 00 for Zorc (supercritical hit), the player would be trapped inside their character's miniature.

Summary
 +
The adventurers approach Zorc Castle. Jonouchi asks the others if they are ready to enter and Pokii warns Yugi to be careful as there are traps set for them in the castle. Yugi says that he shall be careful and Jonouchi is confident that they'll be fine since they have Dark Yugi, a friend they can trust, on their side. Dark Bakura thinks that the time to test Dark Yugi's skills has now come.

*Human (average wisdom, strength, and speed)
+
The drawbridge to the castle lowers for the adventurers to enter and the castle diorama opens up, revealing interior rooms. Dark Bakura narrates that they have come to the final stage of their quest and Zorc is waiting somewhere in the castle. Jonouchi calls on Zorc to come out of hiding and fight them.
*Elf (high wisdom and charisma; make good magicians; low strength)

*Half-elf (a human-elf crossbreed)

*Hobbit (small but very fast, and well-muscled for their size; make good thieves)

*Pixie-fairy (high wisdom; able to fly; one of the "magical races")

*Dwarf (low wisdom, but high strength and constitution)

*Birdtail (a race of bird people; able to fly; high charisma)

Honda spots a suspicious looking tower and the group move over to take a look. They see a pedestal inside the tower with two semi-circle markings at the top of the front face. Yugi wonders what they mean, but Jonouchi insists that it's just some unimportant carving and that they should go inside. However Dark Yugi is suspicious and thinks it must have some meaning. He suspects that there is a missing upper part for the pedestal and quickly realizes that it is a trap. He tries warning the others, but is too late as they have already entered the tower.

Dark Bakura says that they fell for it and a spiked ceiling drops on the adventurers. He tells them not to worry; instant death traps are the tool of amateur game masters and a good game master prolongs the torture as long as possible, so he's giving Dark Yugi a chance to save them. The ceiling rests on top of the adventurers heads, holding them in place with the spikes. The middle of the ceiling has a block just above the pedestal, containing similar semi-circle markings at its bottom. Knowing the breaking point of the lead figures, Dark Bakura says that they will last three turns before being crushed.

Dark Bakura explains that this is a puzzle; to save his friends, Dark Yugi must create a column to support the ceiling and in order to do that he must roll a certain number with the dice. Dark Yugi wonders what he needs to do and Jonouchi urges him to roll a critical. Not having time to think Dark Yugi goes rolls the dice and gets a 04. He and his friends celebrate, since this is a critical. However nothing happens and Bakura reminds them that they need a certain number. As a hint, he says that they must roll doubles. Yugi thinks about what he needs to do and suspects that the carvings on the pedestal must have something to do with it.

Bakura remembers that it's time for a monster encounter roll to see if Zorc appears. He says that there is a 30% chance of that happening. Dark Yugi panics, thinking if Zorc shows up his friends will be dead for sure. Dark Bakura rolls a 28, causing Zorc to emerge. Zorc appears before the adventurers, saying that they fell right into his trap. He vows to cut them into shreds while the trap holds their bodies in place.

Since his targets can't move, Zorc's attack has 1 95% hit rate. Dark Bakura rolls a 41. It's not the bets number, he thinks, but feels it should be a good start for a slow and painful death. Zorc swipes at the adventurers, dropping Jonouchi and Yugi's HP to 15 and 13 respectively.

Yugi has one roll left and Jonouchi says that still have faith in him. Something strikes Dark Yugi and he finally figures out the puzzle. He realizes that the carvings on the two blocks are parts of two numbers, with their middles missing. The numbers that can match the carving include 0, 3, 6, 8 and 9. Yugi rolls the dice, hoping to get the right number and gets a 33. An extra block is added between the two with the semi-circle patterns, such that a supporting pillar containing the number 33 is formed.

Although the riddle was solved, Zorc gets another attack and Dark Bakura rolls a 12. Zorc uses its "Demon Hand Blade" attack to strike the pillar and the adventurers. The adventurers now stand at Zorc's back and Jonouchi has two holes in his head from the spikes. Dark Yugi initiates a sneak attack, rolling a 15 for Jonouchi who proceeds to strike Zorc. ===Battle vs. Zorc (round 1)===

*Zorc gets to attack first because he caught the party off guard.

*Zorc attacks, and Bakura rolls 00. Téa's soul is sealed in her miniature.

*Joey rolls, and gets a 99. It wasn't even his turn to attack, but he is also sealed in his miniature.

*Bakura notes that if Yugi and Tristan become miniatures, nobody will be left to roll the dice, and he will win.

*Hiroto tries to attack Zorc, but Tristan must make a courage check against Zorc. With a roll less than 70, he can go first. He rolls 94.

*Bakura rolls 00 again. Zorc seals Tristan into the miniature.

*Yugi asks Bakura to seal his soul in his miniature, and Bakura does so.

*Yami Yugi is still left in Yugi's body, so he comes out. He rolls for Hiroto, and gets 03, shooting off Zorc's left hand.

*Zorc’s hand transforms into two monsters. Then, Zorc leaves for the castle.

Battle vs. Zorc Arm Monsters
*Joey’s turn to attack. Yugi rolls 00 and kills one monster.

*The other monster loses its next action.

*Yugi’s turn. He attempts to capture the Level 4 Zorc Arm Dragon.

*The probability of success with this is 10%.

*Yugi rolls, and looks like he will get in the 80’s, but the white die hits the red die to change the roll to a 02. The move is successful so the dragon joins the party.

*Yugi explains the way to change the die roll by spinning the dice and bumping them into each other.

*Bakura prohibits the use of this technique for the rest of the game.

*The party then reaches Zorc Castle. Entering the castle, they find a suspicious tower, and go in before Yami can stop them.

*A spike ceiling falls down and begins to crush the party.

*Bakura gives Yugi three rolls of the dice to save them. He has to roll a certain number to complete the center column.

*First, Yugi rolls 04. It’s a critical, but not the right number. Bakura says that Yugi has to roll doubles.

*Meanwhile, Bakura rolls to see if Zorc appears. There is a 30% chance, and Bakura rolls 28, so Zorc does appear.

*Yugi rolls again, getting a 13, so nothing happens.

*Zorc attacks. He has a 95% chance of hitting, and with a roll of 41, he succeeds, attacking Yugi and Joey, taking them down to 13 and 15 HP, respectively.

*Yugi discovers that the column carving is the needed numbers without the middle: the numbers are either 0s,3s, 6s, 8s, or 9s.

*Yugi rolls a 33, which is the needed number to save the party.

*Zorc attacks, with a roll of 12. But the party already escaped when the puzzle was solved.

Part of episode 26: Yu-Gi-Oh! (Toei anime) of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Toei anime is based on this chapter. Differences included:
*For Hiroto, Yugi rolls 09, another hit.

* Dark Yugi rolls a 66 instead of a 33. Bakura declares that the correct number to solve the puzzle was actually 99. However, because he had rolled a 04 on Miho Nosaka's turn, she used her powers as a merchant fairy to flip the numbers upside down and successfully complete the puzzle.
*For Anzu, Yugi rolls 13, yet another hit.

*And for little Yugi, Yugi rolls 08, and the monster partners hit.

*However, Zorc has barely taken any damage, since the party is still only level 1.

*Bakura now takes out his “Brainwashed Dice”, with a soul sealed in them.

*Zorc’s turn to attack, and Bakura rolls 00. He thinks it will kill all the characters, but instead they are each left with 1 HP.

*Ryo Bakura uses his left hand to defy Yami Bakura.

*Joey’s turn to attack. Yugi rolls 05, a hit. Joey stabs Zorc in the eye (Bakura’s eye also closes, since he’s tied to Zorc.)

*Zorc and Anzu have the same initiative scores, so the die roll decides who goes next.

*Yugi rolls 09, Bakura rolls... not 00 as he expected, but 10.

*Anzu’s turn, so she heals the party.

*It turns out that the dice used on this roll were the regular dice, not the brainwashed dice.

*Zorc’s turn to attack. Bakura goes to roll, but his left hand throws the brainwashed dice instead, and rolls 99. Zorc takes damage.

*Bakura impales his left hand on the castle tower.

*Yugi’s turn, and he attempts to use the Hand Power on Zorc. He rolls an 05. The power doesn’t succeed in getting Zorc to join the party (which was impossible under any circumstances), but the White Wizard Bakura, an NPC created by Ryo Bakura, does.

*Hiroto’s turn, and Yugi rolls 15. The hit does more damage than before, because White Wizard Bakura lowered Zorc’s defense.

"Millennium Enemy 6: The Traps of Zorc Castle" is the fifty-fifth chapter of the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga.

This chapter was originally printed in the Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine in Japanese. Its first English release was in the Shonen Jump magazine. It has been reprinted in volume 7 of the tankōbon and volume 4 of the bunkoban.

Yugi, Jonouchi, Anzu and Honda enter Zorc Castle, where they get caught in a trap and rely on Dark Yugi to rescue them.

Summary[edit]

The adventurers approach Zorc Castle. Jonouchi asks the others if they are ready to enter and Pokii warns Yugi to be careful as there are traps set for them in the castle. Yugi says that he shall be careful and Jonouchi is confident that they'll be fine since they have Dark Yugi, a friend they can trust, on their side. Dark Bakura thinks that the time to test Dark Yugi's skills has now come.

The drawbridge to the castle lowers for the adventurers to enter and the castle diorama opens up, revealing interior rooms.
